Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Darla, It is the Cana Woodford group Linda is posting in.

If any of you in Stephen’s Co 2n,4w and Garvin 3n,4w are not reading the comments on the Woodford Shale group you might want to check it as I posted what I saw in that area today. That was the place I could type it and cover action in both Counties.

Thank You

This was in the Dailey Oklahoman today:

Garvin Co.

Hey Rick, thanks for the explanation on the acreage of our mineral rights.

It looks like all the drilling is going on west of our holdings, do you guys think they might start drilling farther east my way? S15 T2N R1W.

Linda, Very shallow verticle wells.

Yes, sorry about that Darla. It is the Cana Woodford group. Thanks Rick!

Yes they are!

Sandra, please see my reply to your question in the discussion above, top of the list.

I am new and I met to comment on this wall vs adding a discussion. I apologize - still trying to figure out how this works. Here is what I put on the discussion:

Hi

I am new to this group and know not a thing about mineral rights. My sisters and I inherited our mineral rights from my mom, not much but combined we have about 4 acres. We have been receiving so many offers in the mail from a variety of places. We are all out of state. We contacted a lawyer and did sign a lease, we understand Marathon is drilling. Can anyone tell us what is really happening there and what can we expect?

Any information would be very much appreciated. Thank you

Sandra, Can you tell us the legal description?

Per the records I have the legal description says All of Section 7, Township 3 North, Range 4 west, Garvin County, Oklahoma.

Thank you!

Continental’s Colbert 1-32H no completion report yet.

Danny, no surprise to me. I believe it was 4 months before we saw a completion report.

Danny…which company is in charge of the Colbert? If it’s Newfield I might be able to find out something. If CR or some other probably not. It’s road is so bad I swore to never take my poor car down it again after the last time. I haven’t gotten myself a one ton yet! lol I guess that would be the one on the west side of the newest “Mashburn” in 33 3n 4w, wouldn’t it?

Has anyone heard anything relative to the Colbert well (32 3N 4W)? OCC records indicataed they started drilling on September 21, 2012. I have not seen anything else on the OCC site or heard anything relative to the status of the well.

Thanks, Linda and Michael

This is the well just west of the Mashburn. I was down there about 3 months ago and it appeared they had the site set up and producing. Just suprised that Continental has not released anything relative to production.

By request I am posting what Continental called the SCOOP and what Newfield calls the “Sweet Spot” of the Anadarko Woodford Shale.

So, who’s got the info on sec 20, 3N 4W, Garvin county? It’s wells are probably filling up with oil by now, aren’t they? There hasnt been a dry hole yet in them parts, says many.

I am at the very bottom of the learning curve on this activity and yet I hear my questions asked by others with similar stories. My shares are through my mother who received them in the 40’s from her father. In reading the maps are the 3N-4W primary and the sections numbers contained therein? We have 29 and 32 which seem to be adjacent. Any activity noted in the latter (Section 32 3N 4W)? Thanks in advance.
