Just read an obituary in the Daily Oklahoman on Eddie Troup. Signed alot of leases with Eddie through the years as many of you in this area probably have as well. Always thought he was a peach of a guy-so personable. RIP Mr. Troup
Vicki was it Energy Lease?
Received my lease in the mail today for sec1 1N3W. They finally offered $1500/ac for 3 yr & 3/16. They wanted a 2 yr extention @ 1500, but I declined. I am again thankful for all the good advice I have received on this forum. Never knew that was negotiable.
Yes it was, Rick
Vicki, give me a call. I’d like to find out who you talked to and contact info. Thanks. George Wilson 214.577.1995 gwilson3@swbell.net
Hi all,
I have learned a lot on this forum, thanks for all your help. I wanted to find out how much acreage my family trust owns. Is it possible to translate this
S15 T2N R1W W2 NE
S15 T2N R1W N2 NW SE
S15 T2N R1W SE NW SE
into total acres?
Tell that to my wife!! LoL I do make my fair share of mistakes.
S15 T2N R1W W2 NE = 80 Acres
S15 T2N R1W N2 NW SE = 20 Acres
S15 T2N R1W SE NW SE = 10 Acres
Read them right to left NE, NW, SW, SE are 1/4s. You start with 640
So top line NE 1/4 of 640 is 160 (sometimes written as NE/4) the next to the left is W2 or West 1/2 of the NE 160 acres = 80 acres.
Now the problem is we are talking about gross acres. That is usually all you see on a lease. Even though you may only own an undivided 1/20 of those 110 acres. (which would be 5.5 Net Mineral Acres)
Rick, you’re right on. But, I think your phone probably rang and after talking to your girl friend, you inadvertently typed (I’ve done it a 1000 times after being distracted) typed in 110 acres, I think it should have been 80 acres, making Gregory’s nma’s 4 (assuming 1/20 as shown).
Mr Wilson- did you ever talk to Cooper? I really enjoyed our conversation and appreciate the info you shared w/me. Would love to attend one of your conferences (especially in Stockyards City) in May. I’ll let you know if I am able to make it happen.
It hard to catch Rick make a mistake .
Amen brother
George,
I should have clarified it but the last paragraph was referring to the total acreage of the 3 tracts he listed.
Vicki, I did talk to Cooper. We’ve worked out the bonus. We’re working on several lease clauses that I want to include in my Exhibit. You and Rick have been very helpful. As Clint once said in his movie, Sudden Impact, “Make my day”, Vicki, our brief conference resulted in you “making my day”. I hope to see you in Ft Worth in May. Happy trails to all
Did anyone lease to Triad in 3N 4W? I believe these leases were limited from the surface to the base of the deese. If you did, please message me as I have a question for you. Thanks
Grergory…did you see this video about horizonal drilling and fracking? It will explain a lot and might answer some of your questions.
Grergory…We’ve been gone to Mississippi to watch TU play a golf tournament so I haven’t been down that way lately. Now it’s muddy (praise the Lord!!) so it may be a few more days until I go looking around in the country. I will try to do that soon however.
If the Lang is a CR well they have been waiting several weeks to frac for some reason. If Newfield they usually frac as soon as they get finished drilling and run the coil tubing in. I haven’t seen them put a pumping unit (some call a pump jack) on any of the wells down in that area. There has been enough gas to let them flow back so they didn’t have to pump it out.
Hey, y’all. I’m out here in Cali, and wanna know is the drilling complete on sec20 3N 4W? Does anyone know anything about the Lang? Have the reports been posted yet? I’m a newbie and believe I have some royalties homies off my 3yr lease with an 18.75% royalty. I got 10 acres there. What’s happening down there any activity yet? Fraccing, or are them wells pumping oil out?
Does that mean them wells are ready to produce some oil & gas once that coil tubing goes down? I wonder what’s in store. Are there any reports on that section lately?
Linda,
When I go to the woodford shale group it only shows four members and no discussions. Is it a group or discussion? Missing something…
