Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Rodney,

I’ve heard of a wheat farm, in Anthony, Kansas I believe, getting two lease offers. The first was for 1000 acres at $500 and 1/4 royalties and the second, from the same company, for his other 1000 acres at $1000 and 1/4 royalty. I bet he got a new John Deere.

Mark,

They have not filed anything asking for it yet. I think they will be focusing the rigs on areas that are leased but not drilled or areas with exceptional first well results. I think the multis being drilled are testing some of this right now.

Good to know. Thanks.

“Went” across Section 33 and “went” south NOT when and when! Ms. Type-o strikes again!!!

Mark,

One of those Mashburn wells on 33-3N-4W gets its production from 4-2N-4W. (Mashburn 1H-4)

Is there a site for searching records for mineral rights & property?

Peggy,

I also use pangea.

Mark… Rick is right. The first Mashburn went from Section 33 but when south through Section 4 in Stephens and didn’t perforate in Section 33. The second Mashburn was drilled from Section 33 in Garvin across 33 and perforated only in it. That’s the one that Newfield turned over to production before the flow testers finished watching it so we have had some problems about finding out anything except were told it was a good well! It hasn’t been online for very long and I don’t think the report on it will be out yet.

Thanks, Linda and Rick. Now I understand.

Does anyone have any information on whether the Joe Murray Farms 1-13 well located in the SE/4 SW/4 of Section 13, Township 3N, Range 2W is finished drilling and if it made a good well? Spud date was Jan. 10th but no completion report has been filed by Ranken Energy.

Peggy, try this, searchable by name or legal description. Free to view but a subscription required for downloads.

Fourth Quarter 2012 result for Continental is out as of today and the conference call will be in the morning. I posted the link on the Stephens County discussion group and I will post it again to the Cana Woodford group if you are interested. Good information on the Scoop wells!

I knew what you meant. Happens to all of us.

I have interest in Mashburn 33-3N-4W. So the one well doesn’t actually penetrate in 33? Can someone translate? Please and thank you!!!

That process of shooting holes in the pipe is called perforating and sometimes when they drill the horizontal wells through parts or all of Sections they may choose to “perforate” in only one section, a part of one section and through all of one or now they are going through two and a half or three sections. It’s according to which sections they perforate as to which mineral rights holder gets the money from the well. Hope this helps!

David, after they run pipe in the hole they shoot holes in (or perforate) the pipe and then frack to get the oil, etc. to come out of the shale and into the well. Turn your sound on and watch the video in this link.

OOPS, I meant “they shoot holes” not “that shot holes”

Finally getting to see the real Linda, what a clown!

Thank you, Tom & Michael.

David, zoom in on this map to see the two Mashburn wells, one produces from 33-3N/4W the other from 4-2N/4W

This link is not operable.
