Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Gregory, I am no expert on well production but I feel safe in telling you “there will be oil”. Hang on. There are alot of people on this forum that will be able to tell you how much it will pay you once the numbers start coming in.

thanks everybody, who answered my questions. i appreciate it all.

Richard,

It looks like 102 moved to 19. Any idea when a rig was active on Sect 20?

Grergory…You can bet there is oil, gas etc. down there or they wouldn’t have drilled as the 3D Seiscmagraphing shows them what’s down there very clearly. They are calling this the “de-risked” area. The rig being down and out of there simply means the well is drilled and now they have to usually run in the coiled tubing, frack the well and let it flow back as I wrote to you about to see what you get. Probably another really good well like all the rest down there have been. Yes you have to be patient as it will probably be another couple of weeks before they finish up on it and put it on production. After that you will have to wait probably at least six months for your first check but it will be for at least four of those six months. It will be a really nice one to get you started. Then every month you will get a check for a month. They usually keep you two months behind with the payments. Right before the payments start they will send you “Division Orders” to get names and addresses straight where you want the payments sent. Hope this helps!

Daniel, The thought that came to mind was predicated on the statement made by the young man who lives in California. Grergory D. Camarillo Jr. in a previous statement indicated he was, I believe, in dire need of financial assistance and could certainly use the proffered mineral purchase money for his 10 acres situated in Sec. 20 3N/4W.

Thanks, Couldn’t remember expiration date of 5-16-13 of the drilling permit for the Gregory 1H- 28. Pad has been built on S/W corner of Sec. 21 3N /4W for maybe 3 months or more to drill south into Sec. 28. As of last weekend there were 4 poles set in a rectangle around what I suppose is the proposed surface hole. Maybe we will get a rig once they are finished with the Branch operation.

Richard I could find nothing on it . Where did you hear about it ?

Tom,

Click on Richard’s link and go to the bottom of the second page and you can see the spacing. It is 640.

Thanks Ron.

Would someone with the expertise show a link to an OCC permit to drill document pertaining to Sec. 28-3N/4W granted to Newfield? Thanks.

Richard,

Here is the link for the permit on the Gregory 1H-28

Gregory 1H-28

Ron and Richard, surface is in sec 21 thats why you couldn’t find it by location.

Mike,

What is the spacing. I take it that they will drill 28 from a pad in 21?

Tom

Good work Michael & Rick you guys don’t miss anything.

Richard…We’ll try to light a fire to their tail to rush them up with those rigs! lol

Rodney,
That is not too far off for that area.
I would bet they are targeting the Viola formation (or shallower) which should be about 6000’ in that area.
From a very quick review of the pooling orders, I would try for $150 and 1/5 limited to the base of the Viola. A clause to release non-perforated and unproven formations at the end of the primary term. (along the usually shut-in and no production cost clauses). I think you can get that in a force pooling based on what I am looking at.
The range is $150-250 and 3/16 for most of them. UDX has the 95% + of the leases in the surrounding sections.

Your geologist friend may be comparing it to the Woodford plays going on south and west of there. It is possible we may see it is that area in the future, but it does not seem to be influencing the price or exploration there right now. I’d still want to only include the formations UDX is targeting because of this…

Thanks, Rick.

That makes sense. Looks like two Mashburn wells have been completed on 33-3N-4W. Only the first one shows test results.

Section 9-3N-2W

I have a Kansas client/friend who has been offered the following for a lease of 40 acres: UDX, L.L.C. in OKC - $125 net acre with 1/8th (3 year term) OR $100 net acre with 3/16th (3 year term). Can anyone provide information regarding any activity in that area as well as whether those offers are anywhere in the ballpark? A Kansas geologist friend didn’t think that the amounts were nearly enough.

Rodney…I agree with your friend~NOT NEARLY ENOUGH! Trying to steal it in my opinion!

Has anyone heard whether Continental will be drilling additional wells for Garvin 29-3N-4W in the near future?

How about Newfield - Garvin 33-3N-4W?
