FYI - I recently leased 80 acres in 2n2w, Sec 29& 30 for $700 per and 3/16ths. I was also offered $500 and 1/5th. This was for 3 years with
no option to renew. I got an “Exhibit A” as Martha B suggested. If I had
not joined this forum a year ago, I probably would have leased for $250 per believing that was a good deal. I took this deal because I don’t believe they will drill in my area for another couple years. I hope I am wrong. Keep dispensing your great help.
Mark I’m almost finished with a website that does that. WellSeller.com it should be finished in less than a week. You could list there now if you want to be my first tract.
Trying to locate the Omer 1-17H, spud Dec. 2014, CR. Just trying to figure out where it is on the map. Looks to be a good one, flowing 1100 bpd But I would really like to see the direction of the horizontals and I’m not practical with the terminology. Can anyone help me to visualize this well?? (I really like those maps that show the oval fracked areas…!) Oh and greetings to all!
I have a more general question. Negotiating a lease with Chesapeake and they want to include transportation costs which I am not too keen on. It is a very small parcel. Does shorting the primary lease sound like a alternate?
I wouldn’t budge on transportation or any other deducts in dealing with Chesapeake. I regularly see 30% to 50% deducts from them on monthly revenue checks. I believe there has been a royalty owner class action filed against them for these type of charges.
Barbara, The Riddle 1H-9XX spud on Sept 5, so it should be about done by now. Completion report is not listed yet. So probably won’t hear anything else for about six months unless someone drives by or the coffee shop is chatting about it.
Laura, Continental has filed for 17 leases in 33 in the latter part of 2014. Most of them were two year leases which is a bit odd.
