Last I saw theymoved the hole to 17.
Iām pretty sure that the hole is in 17, havenāt heard the name yet!
Karlaā¦forgot what SHL means. Do you mean that the pad will be on 17 instead of 20 2n3w? And what is the name of the well going to be?
The well permit was amended to extend the bottom hole into 33. The well spud on July 7! Good luck! API # 049-24983-00. Surface location is in 21, so you wonāt find info in 28. Newfield is drilling it.

M, do you know what happened @ the hearing on Mon that was for pooling 17, 8 & 5 2N3W? I looked @ the docket results and it looked to me like 8 was protested (?). I donāt know what that means for the projected well. Do you? As always thanks in advance
Greetings All. Iāve been a follower of this site since Nov. 2013, from up here in NW Montana. I and other family members own mineral interest in Sec.28-T2N-R3W recently leased and pooled by Newfield. My question for you that are more local then I, whats the deal with the permit to drill no expired (COVEL) (6-9-14) and the Pooling? Is there a well site? Any information on this well would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for that info M. For some reason I thought the Covel hearing was postponed until Nov. The original split was 28-67% and 33-33% so thatās good news in my book because I have no minerals in 28 but have a little in 33. David, glad you asked!
What is the CD ? There were lots of hearings.
Just got an offer in 4-2N-2W for 250.00 3/16 for 3 years. Anyone know what the going rate is in the area? The offer came from Ceja Corperation (not familiar with who they lease for).
Kirk-
Probably going for Sycamore if shallow, Woodford if deeper. R L Clampitt is pooling the NE4 and the SE4-so I am guessing shallow. Date: Aug 13, 14, 15. So if you wait, you can get the pooling offers.
Older offers in the area were $150 3/16, so this is almost double.
M Barnes, will you tell me how to find your SCOOP Woodford wells list?
So if I wait for pooling do I forfiet the option to negotiate depth clauses?
We are in the SW so we will wait and see what happens.
They only get the covered formations drilled in the time limit of the pooling so that is like a depth clause.
Kirk, If you are in the NE4 or the SE4 you should have already received pooling hearing notices. If you are not, then you can wait until the hearing and see if the offer you have is equal or better than the ruling, then negotiate.
I posted my SCOOP Woodford wells list over in the Woodford shale forum
Go to GROUPS at the top of the page.
Then Shale Groups
Then Woodford Shale
I posted the wells and an explanation of the spreadsheet there. Let me know if you have trouble opening it.
Thank you, M Barnes, for your amazing spreadsheet. Between you and Don, we on the forum have such a wealth of resources. So helpful!
I just want to address the Ceja lease issue. I have talked to a couple of you on the phone, but wanted to share with everyone a little thought. As Don said āthey seem to be the only player at this time in those sectionsā. The big money is to West of there at this time and $250 is a lot more than was previously offered in those sections. It is always a crapshoot when you lease, but in my opinion (for what itās worth) if you can limit the lease to 3 years with no automatic extensions you can more than likely lease now and it be open to lease again if and when the big money getās that far East. Just make sure the leases have the wording you want in them āin caseā they are drilled. From what I know of Ceja they will not go up in their offers, but it is always possible someone else will come in and lease with a better offer. It just looks like the big players have a lot of drilling to do before they go that far East.
Kirk B. I have minerals in 29 & 30 2N-2W and was also offered $250 and 3/16th for 3 years by CeJa. I checked OKCOUNTYRECORDS.COM and CeJa has lease a lot of minerals in 2N-2W. They seem to be the only player and this time in those sections. I am holding off at present.
