Garfield County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Thanks Linda, I didn’t know Special had picked up so many of the wells. They are small and can operate on less, so that may speed things up in your area.

If you have been receiving payments from Devon through last month then Devon should still own the wells.

Is that a good sign that Devon didn’t sell the well that I am involved with?

Doesn’t show a change of operator, atleast not yet. Thanks for all of the imput from more experienced people.

I don’t for see more wells in this general area, especially with the price of oil and gas. Devon must have thought they saw something when they drilled multiple wells in this area. Who really knows. Seems like everyone has moved west of Garfield County to other areas.

Deborah, drilling has picked back up in the Payne, Logan areas as wells as Kingfisher and many other OK counties. While prices are low, they are drilling the most economical wells. They will be back for the rest in maybe 1 to 4 years. No oil company ever leaves oil and gas the ground unless they literally can’t get to it.

Deborah,

Devon has sold 170 wells in your area to Special Energy out of Stillwater.

Looks like Devon is concentrating their efforts and other areas other than Garfield.

Is this the check that you would have received from Devon as a direct deposit on the 17th?

We had the same thing happen to us,it was a very nice check when we eventually got it.

Just enter your information and go to the all images box and it will show all information on that property, including change of operator. You have to wade through all the documents to find what you need.

After reading the Slushpit this morning, a little unsettled. They have an article on the Mississippi Lime that doesn’t sound very hope full, even thought we basically already knew the outcome. It still stands to reason that the oil/gas business is still a big gamble. Maybe some day my children will see something happen there.

Thanks for some positive input, those small royalty owners in the Mississippi Woodford Shale need a little good news every once in a while.

2 weeks ago I received an offer for my 40 acres of leased minerals for 1,500/acre in 8-20n-6w. My sister and aunt also were offered fore their 40 acres and 80acres. They are going to drill horizontally. they are in the last year of a 3 year plus 1 option. They will have to pay for the extra year in may if they don’t drill.

How do I find the completion records for old wells??

G Win, You have Mississippian and Woodford oil in the sections around you. Section 4 is to the North East of your section 8 and Woodford Horizontal wells completed in Nov 2014. Initial production of 282 bbls per day.

Currently, Sandridge is not drilling Miss Lime, so the Miss Lime production decline is a consequence of the operating slowdown. However, they have not abandoned the Miss Lime and have started using gas lifts instead of electric pumps to cut costs and are looking at other cost cutting techniques. I bet the writer of the article didn’t tell you that. They just like to report the bad news and omit the good.

G Win, Go to Oklahoma Corporation Commission

Click on - Industry - Oil and Gas - Imaged Documents - Oil and Gas Well Records Forms - in Legal Location Field type 0820N06W and click on blue highlighted numbers beside 1002A. I’ve done it and here’s the completion reports for the old wells.

You are welcome. By 2020 things will be drastically different. The days seem long, but the years fly by, so hang in there.

Thank You Martha!! This is very helpfull. Maybe this horizontal well that they are going to drill will come in for me. I know in the lease there was also an agreement if they drilled further than they said they would have to pay more lease.

G Win, Good Luck!
