Also the Strategic Petroleum Reserve is at the lowest it’s been in 45 years. I know the idea is to buy low / sell high (or at least sell as politically expedient) but it’s getting right down to it in that regard.
Oil numbers are in for June2026…this is oil ONLY—
Blackshear 153 barrels of oil per day
Parr 153
Reimers 85
Monster 48
Francis 122
Friends 471 – east
Harwi 210
Mulinge 366 --east
Bullard 523
Maddox 1212–east
Holbrook 615
Chapman 955–east
Rawlins 1410 north of Bruhn
Bruhn 1208
Rawlins & Bruhn are both west units, Kenobi and Alfaro were the east units that have been delayed because of fault lines
Mineral owners were told average price they received in June per barrel was $86
All these were mostly 30 day running except I know Rawlins/Bruhn were down about 3 days or so in june… I did not adjust their numbers because of this.
Mr ML
Do you have any numbers on how the Matrix wells are doing these days. I still see big flares daily from th we m.
TIA
As I am reviewing these oil numbers and noticing a lot of trucks driving up and down fm340 hauling oil it dawned on me I have no idea where they are taking it. Does anyone know where they are taking the oil from the plant off of fm340? If it was already posted sorry for the inquiry again but I must have missed it.
The Matrix units numbers do not get uploaded to the Texas comptrollers office on a regular basis. I do have some numbers from the RRC site. The matrix units starting in the north are Trinity then Dozer, Tank, Zion and Neo to the south.
Trinity is doing about 40 barrels of oil per day with .3 million cubic feet of gas per day. I think this is the oldest of the group by a year or more.
No info on Dozer yet.
Tank is doing 165 bopd and .6 million cubic feet of gas per day
No info on Zion yet.
Neo is doing about 150 bopd and .7 million cubic feet of gas/day.
This may be old info but attached are the completion filings for the Dozer 1H and Tank 1H.
Tank 1H has produced 119 MBO & 443 MMCF thru 3/2026 (online Jan 2025). Present rate of 150 BO and 766 MCF per day in March 2-26
Dozer 1H has produced 104.5 MBO & 353 MMCF thru 3/2026 (only Jan 2025). Present rate of 129 BO & 800 MCF per day.

Matrix / Texas Oil Minerals has been contacting land owners North of County Line Road near Jurica Road and Okruhlic Road in Fayette County & submitting mineral leases for review. It was indicated to me that they plan to lease 7-8,000 acres in this area and northward for 4-5 drilling units.
I was hoping Rosewood would make some offers. Matrix ? Don’t really care for them… Redhawk still has everything south of County line rd…at least until options come up…we have to see… I have not been contacted by anyone yet and I have 3 mineral parcels in that area. Any idea on the terms ?
Apparently RedHawks/EOG is not renewing leases that are up for renewal in August in the Breslau/Moravia area.
You are correct, as I had previously stated Redhawk is not taking the options for any tracts east of FM 957. I had heard they would still drill a unit to the north of Rawlins and south of Blackshear…and some towards the west…as far as north of Blackshear, which would be west of Fm 957 and north of FM 532, i have not heard anything definite…
A side note there are some upset mineral owners that are on the east border of Rawlins and Bruhn. The owners have tracts in these units that are not a minimum of 50% of there land as stated in their lease contract. Since Alfaro and Kenobi have been sidetracked this is an issue. For example you have 70 acres and 8 acres in Rawlins, and promised 62 acres in Alfaro…their are new promises being made but at this time it looks like most are seeking legal representation…interesting…
Will there be anyone more wells drilled in either the Bruhn or Rawlins units?
So, all the figures above are barrels of oil per day, based on June’s totals?
i had someone with EOG tell me a few weeks ago they plan on drilling Kenobi and Alfaro next year. This was a very reliable source who I’ve dealt with all year to get my division corrected.
MR_ML, I live in the area(Lavaca/Fayette County Line Road)stated about Matrix looking to lease several thousand acres. Actually live south of the County line Road and the Matrix contact said they’re looking North of the Komensky area all the way to Highway 90. That said could you elaborate a bit more on why you aren’t very fond of Matrix? At the time of the phone call(two weeks ago)terms were 3 years, 650 acre with 22.5% royalties. We didn’t get into the weeds so not sure about an option. They stated 3 units. I believe lots of leases just ran out in the area a few months ago and now they are looking to pick up as many as possible.
As far as my maps, what I see is this. Flywheel has about 4000 acres in undeveloped tracts between Olsovsky unit and Prost O unit, which are mostly on and west of FM 1295. However, they have quite a few tracts east of FM 1295 on and below countyline. These were just amended last year so they expire around summer 2028.
Redhawk has leased almost all the tracts that Flywheel does not have on and north of FM 532, to the east of FM 1295 and west of FM 957. these start to go to options early 2027…but most are about a year longer before options open up.
So, Matrix does have tracts available on and north of county line road, on or east of FM 1295 to US 90, and all the way east they want to go in Fayette county. Not the best acreage, but its always a gamble.
Matrix could also “buy” or trade acreage with either Flywheel or Redhawk/EOG.
From what I heard Matrix does not have the best record in drilling and completion procedures. they drilled one well on the Trinity-Neo units and these were ok, probably not profitable for them. I did hear a while back EOG was looking at acquiring those units…but heard nothing recently. they were trying to work with Modern energy but something happened…so basically Matrix is no EOG IMO as far as knowledge and capability.
However, unless Rosewood enters the game in that area Matrix is looking at, they are the only game in town…so I would not hesitate to lease with them..lease money is lease money…
Gotcha, again thanks for the info, shall see what plays out.
Anyone know EOG’s per barrel oil sale price for June and July?
Whatever it was, apparently good enough for the wells to pay off in less than a year.
EOG’s oil price…for June it averaged $86 and July is not out yet.
