Fayette and Lavaca County TX Oil Activity

This land was marked over a year ago (with 4 flags then)…then EOG decided to go further south and do the CR 306 pad. This I have been told include 2 new units that fit snugly between the Francis pad and CR 306 pad…one unit to the NW and one to the SE. no confirmation as yet as how many wells to be drilled on this initially…

At this point this one looks to be drilled before CR 183 6 wells…which again will have 2 new units that fit snugly between Francis pad and Maddox pad..and they will also drill some new wells on Maddox and Holbrook I heard with these 6.

That only leaves the 2 units that are between Maddox pad and Rawlins pad…this land includes the gas production plant…at this time I have not seen this one marked it was suppose to be just to the west of the production plant about 1/4 mile…not sure if maps have changed on this one.

I also suspect they will drill 2 units north of Rawlins..this can also be easily piped to production plant.

Saw some updated maps…wish I had a photographic memory…all units had names…

The one north of Rawlins is something like “Dicaprio”, then one above Blackshear is “Mystic”

I think I was so locked into the big surprise…nothing above FM 532 anywhere…but maybe there is another map for the west ???

Also I saw that the Kocian 122.875 acre tract that holds the Rawlins/Bruhn pad has been changed…they added 9.54 acres into the Rawlins unit, and 92.07 acres into the Bruhn unit. so now 100% of the Kocian tract is in the 2 units and nothing in Alfaro and Kenobi…so are they really going to still drill these 2 ??? JRiley—you should know something about this…

Also both the original Rawlins and Bruhn units were exactly 1280 acres which is the MAX a unit can be per all of our leases…how did they add this acreage ?? I was trying to see if they scraped some off the north and south edges, but without my map to compare I did not see it…but something had to happen. There was never a new unit map sent to the RRC that was posted.

Also heard Matrix is talking to Flywheel to get acreage from them just south of county line by FM 1295…about 2000 acres…looks like they will sell some but Flywheel has plans for a little more than half of that acreage for some drilling themselves.

And finally…the EOG problem is not as much with hold out at this point in leasing…it is the Amendments they are asking for to take less than 50% of a tract in a unit. this is basic in most leases, and all EOG, but since EOG is just drawing straight lines to make their units they can have 10+ tracts per unit to get these Amendments for and by ALL mineral owners in that tract…some people are saying NO… cause they ain’t giving any extra money to do so…and the promise of " OH, there will be another unit coming in next to this one so you will be in that"…just don’t fly anymore…

I was told directly by EOG they are moving forward with Kenobi and Alfaro next year. That was the plan as of a few weeks ago.

Anyone know how Rosewood well(s) have panned out? Last I heard, they were drilling, but I don’t know if the wells were completed and what the IPs were. Pad east of Flatonia just northside of I-10.

Hearing rumors that EOG is bullish on the Buda formation that sits below the Eagleford. Anyone else hearing this?

Just drove by there about an hour ago. I think they may be drilling out plugs, but I was driving not gawking. So short answer is no, they’re still in completion mode.

As for EOG / Buda topic, making a long story short, there has been an individual (a non-technical person) touting the Buda and EOG connection with potential astronomical reserve / production potential for the past couple of years on Linked In. Lots of AI generated posts and related theoretical suppositions about surface facilities being constructed to exploit these resources.

But zero technical support from the geological or engineering side of things - along with some irrational conclusions about frac’ing potential in the and associated resources in the Buda.

In my opinion, these theories have been totally debunked by recent activities by a company called Bull Run in Madison and Robertson Counties. Bull Run is rumored to be a “stealth” company for EOG (EOG has done this in several areas in the past). Put together a decent acreage position in this “Buda trend” and has drilled and completed two Hz wells with early oil rates in the 400 to 800 BOPD range.

Both of these laterals are clearly in the Eagle Ford / Eagle Bine interval and NOT the underlying Buda section.

These three wells (Flatonia N B1, B2 and B3) were drilled in May 2026 - drilling and assumed casing of all three laterals completed. 8500-10,000’ long laterals with similar 10,000’+ TVD / target zone.

No completion info in public record yet.

Nat Gas numbers for June for EOG in our area:

Blackshear .7 million cubic feet/day

Parr .9

Reimers .2

Monster .1

Francis 1.1

Friends 4.1 --over half million dollars in sales

Harwi 1.7

Mulinge 3.2

Bullard 2.9

Maddox 7.0 --over 1 million dollars in sales

Holbrook 3.3

Chapman 5.3

Rawlins 5.2 --800k in sales

Bruhn 4.8

Dry gas $ 2.12 Liquid $ 18.69

Numbers above still show the east units have the best overall numbers in both oil and gas production

Will be interesting to see what Alfaro and Kenobi will do—both east–have to wait a year to see ??

Also the CR306 wells should all be Extremely gassy…we knew this from other wells in the immediate area…however oil production from the others were very very low…hopefully the EOG touch makes the difference for us…

In about a week we will have oil numbers for July…

Appears the first royalty payment for Bruhn and Rawlins is ABOUT $1,000 per net mineral acre and that’s net, after severance tax. Not yet sure if that’s the few days in May plus June or it’s 30 days. I don’t know yet if EOG does calendar days or there is a cut off before the calendar month ends. I’ll see the breakdown soon.

I’m getting EOG checks today per USPS informed delivery service. This check would be for production that has been sold through the 26th of June…you will see this on your statement. So if you factor time to get production to market, and only a few days in May, this check would be for about 3 1/2 weeks…not quite a full month for these units. But of course there is a steep decline, so the next check for a full 4 weeks will be less than this one…and so on and so on…

Also when they do Alfaro & Kenobi they will shutdown Rawlins and Bruhn for the entire drilling and fracking duration 6-8 weeks would be my guess based on what happened to the others…and that is if they only drill a total of 2 wells …otherwise longer.

I had no idea they shut the other two down while drilling nearby, thanks for info. I’ll be leaving these first ones in the bank.

The 2nd Quarter 2026 EOG presentation has the first map showing our area of interest. EOG is calling this their Austin Chalk area with 60,000 acres. When you look a their map you will see that the marked area does not go above FM 532. By my calculation the marked area only covers 32 units, a little less than 40,000 acres including the acreage way to the SW that is also in Green.
