Yeah it’s funny - don’t even attempt to understand the WHY behind where rigs get moved because it won’t make any sense to the general public. Back when we were heavy into hauling the camp houses for them they’d move a rig from Moulton all the way to Cotulla. Then, 2 weeks later they’d move that same rig back to Moulton a few miles down the road from the pad it just came from. You scratch your head wondering who are the IDIOTS behind these decisions? Moving a rig that distance between locations is a massive expense. In reality, it’s to secure leases that are about to expire, once they drill your locked in. It’s about a two week timeframe depending on how many holes they drill.
What i was told when they moved from the bruhn rawlins pad to Charlotte. It’s cheaper to move a rig than paying to re lease a bunch of land again.
and they just had to pay options on the leases here from Breslau all the way south not HBP…so now they have 2 more years…I heard it was close to 5000 acres so far…so around $6 million…if they don’t do something in the next 6 months to hold additional EOG acreage, another 6000 acres will come up for options…EOG still has 10 units to go…this is not counting the Redhawk acreage north of Breslau which is still an unknown…
You may know already but EOG sent out division orders for Bruhn and Rawlins on June 25th.

Have you seen any numbers on the gas production from the Bruhn/Rawlinngs wells or is it still too early for that to be posted on the RRC site?

Easterly units doing way better in gas. Rawlins & Bruhn had some shutdown days in May…we have to wait several days to see how this impacted the oil results.
A little news over the past few days… EOG/Redhawk will NOT drill east of FM 957, and Redhawk leases east of FM 957, some made as early as August 2023, will NOT be optioned.
Redhawk is looking at the westerly leases. This is north of Lavaca river all the way up to countyline rd. Again nothing east of FM 957.
Bruhn had some sort of “collapse” issues when drilling.
EOG loves the Migl pad (Maddox+3), and will be drilling more wells there shortly..some in the “6 flag” marked pad. Maddox/Holbrook +2 new units CR 183
and…they still have some mineral owner holdouts on leases…

Heard that the bruhn well lost a string and bit and had to side tracked which is why it took longer than expected. Also heard during the frac bruhn used 42 million pounds of sand vs 28 million for rawlins
Not sure how to take info about Bruhn, is that good or bad? Was it just a delay in starting? And why did it need so much more sand to read?

Actually Rawlins and Bruhn were down a couple of days in June, not May…they only ran 8 days in May so the Gas figures shown are not correct that I previously posted.
They both did around 55 million cubic feet in Gas for May in 8 days this would put them at a monthly average of around 7.5 million cubic feet/day…which makes a lot more sense. We will have to see June’s numbers to get a better representation …but these would be the best westerly gas wells so far if they hit this number in June…we will have the oil numbers for June soon…

That makes more sense. Heard that eog was pleased as well with these 2 wells.
I was told that drilling the bruhn it was gassy according to my source. During completion it had a good flare to relieve pressure.
Any update on average oil barrels a day on Bruhn/Rawlins
For Bullard, Maddox, Holbrook, and Chapman production, were these for numbers combined March/April/May combine, or May only for each well?
I would assume the others are for May which in some cases would be their 5th-6th month online?
For the messages I put out, and I do 2 one for Oil only and 1 for Gas only, they are only for the month of May 2026. You can scroll through and look at other messages I sent to get the previous months numbers for each EOG/Redhawk units in our area. June oil numbers will be out shortly.
I was in the hallettsville area this past weekend. Took a ride toward Moravia. No sign of any activity as far as new drilling. I have royalties in the parr unit. I guess EOG is done in that area? I was hoping for another shot at a well from Parr towards Mulespring as that would possibly pool another property I still have royalties on. Anybody have any news on that possibility?
EOG/Redhawk is not drilling another unit south of Parr. I have a lease coming due in just a couple of days for option that they did not pay (south of Parr)…and landman told me they are not. Was told no drilling east of FM 957.
Eventually they said they would drill south of Blackshear and another unit north of Rawlins, which would complete this section (west units). No talk about north of Blackshear. They did say that they are putting a plan in place for west of Blackshear going all the way to FM 1295…but just planning nothing definitive.
And you won’t see any activity from EOG in our neck of the woods…the rig moved away a month ago, so no EOG presence. Marked pad areas have no construction started…heard a “rumor” we will get rig 1209 back mid September at the earliest to continue drilling plan…but that is just a rumor not confirmed…
