I heard that they’re ‘restoring’ the Pecan Pad property; taking up the road base, rolling up the sidewalks, etc. Probably only a contractor speaking ,but it was said that those wells were some of the worst they had ever done.
It was unclear if the poor performance was due to bad rock or pilot error but it was said that there was a lot of ‘tar’ being produced (maybe paraffin or asphaltines).
So as of today they’re still drilling on I 10 just east of Flatonia. Maybe next time…
When I drove buy the pecan farm pad several days ago I noticed that the metal entrance fence on the east side had yellow flag markings on it…as if they were going to remove it or change it somehow. EOG is getting some production out of it, I have not heard of any talk of them closing down all production on that pad…but have heard from many sources that they are disappointed and they are done in that area. EOG did have some bad wells just south of shiner that they shutdown all together several years ago.
Just waiting to hear now if EOG plans to go north of the Rawlins unit. think it depends on the production numbers, which they already have the first several weeks. I think they are also looking at the results of the Modern Grover unit to see if they will go west, Redhawk has close to 8,000 acres bordering it to the east…but have not heard anything official.
RRC has not posted a new permit for a second well. Is this something you heard ?
There was an amendment asked for of the first well indicating that they were able to get some of the previously unleased tracts leased.
Very interested since I have minerals in this CR306 grouping. All I have heard is that this is a very gassy area…that is no news to anyone…Based on the 1st quarter remarks from EOG presentation and conference call they are looking at oily areas as an immediate preference…and shifted plans to it…on their 2026 CAPEX budget/plans. However, this will not change amount of wells drilled…just well locations within the same reservoirs/fields.
Bullard, Maddox, Holbrook, and Chapman all came in about the same with 40k in sales, but this is only 1-3 days of production…It will be a month before we see their real numbers… These 4 will have May’s oil numbers out in about 10 days…this will tell the tale…
Rawlins and Bruhn 1-2 months out before we have any numbers.
$2.29 Nat gas
$18.69 LNG numbers mineral owners received, what EOG said they sold for
Is this different than the CR 312 rig. I guess that’s referred to as the Worthington pool? I have mineral rights in that one and try to stay updated but not sure about all the names used in here. My lease had run out in mid-May and I sign my new lease with EOG tomorrow.
Let me start with this…if you have driven by Grafe Auto in Halletttsville, you would have noticed they have about 25% of the new cars/trucks they had about 8 weeks ago…I think that it gets explained below.
Oil numbers for May 2026 are in…this is barrels of oil ONLY per day:
Blackshear 169
Parr 168
Reimers 101
Monster 58
Francis 139
Friends 564
Harwi 261
Mulinge 440
Now here we go…
Bullard 1061 $3.4 million in sales
Maddox 1824 $5.8
Holbrook 1224 $3.9
Chapman 1583 $5.0
and with 9 days of activity…
Rawlins 2052 16,420 for 8 days
Bruhn 1784 14,275 for 8 days
We received $107 per barrel of oil in May (mineral owners)
Maddox and Chapman proves the eastern units are doing the best in this area/along with the east units on the Francis pad.
Rawlins doing better than Bruhn proves that the field is still extremely strong to the north of it.
With all of the EOG wells in this play, based on bopd the top wells/unit is Maddox, Friends and Rawlins…with the next 3 being Francis, Blackshear and Chapman…based on approx. 30 day IP’s.
Extremely strong numbers is why EOG is/was adding additional pipe to the pipeline going to the production plant…for future use.
Some really nice checks/deposits going out on the 12th.
We have to wait and see what they will do with Kenobi and Alfaro, but with these numbers..I’m sure they are working on a plan. the 2 units between Maddox and Francis pad (which has the 6 stakes) should do really good as well..they also need to do the 2 units that are between the Maddox pad and Rawlins pad, which has the gas plant on it…and then to the north they have 4 units between Rawlins and Blackshear…after that who knows ?? oh yes, 2 units between the francis pad and the cr306 pad…
then they will start to fill in the 5-6 wells per unit..would take about 3 years with just 1 rig…(120 wells) but with water constraints and pipeline capacities..they really could not go much faster…
EOG rig on CR 306 pad is down…and what I was told is all 4 wells done. Anyone know where the rig is going ???
CR 183 sites with 6 flags each are still up…but nothing being done to prep for pad.
My guess is that it is going to Gonzales county…hope I’m wrong…a lot still left here to lock in…however since EOG is having to pay the options to some people…I guess this gives them 2 more years, so no rush…
More pipeline movement with EOG…going to be a couple of months before CR 306 pipeline completed…it only has to get to the Francis pad where it will connect to another pipeline going to production plant.
Rawlins/Buhn pipeline was completed and being used now for about 6 weeks…then they added another pipeline to handle the additional volume from future wells there…and this was completed over a week ago, and covered up…now, today I saw them digging yet another trench to the far west side of the easement for another set of pipelines…
