Fayette and Lavaca County TX Oil Activity

Like LKranch said, once a pad is made in our area EOG will send rig back. Next one should be the Cr 312/307/306 pad which was to be a 4 unit 1 well each test…but could change. The other test site was suppose to be about 1/2-1 mile east of Fm 957 off of FM 532..to the north on CR 230. this was suppose to be another 4 unit pad 1 well each.

There was talk about popping down one notch to do the Fm 957/Cr240 pad site which the southern units would be up against Blackshear/Parr…but this fizzled out as well…

If these 2 sites were done you would have their test grid complete. Starting at pecan pad, was suppose to be a 4 unit (2 missing on the south), then a 1/1 unit spacer, then Cr 230 pad and 1/1 unit spacer, Blackshear pad (2 missing on the south) and a 1/1 unit spacer in between, Rawlins pad (2 units abandoned to the east), 1/1 unit spacer, Maddox +3 pad, then 1/1 unit spacer, Francis+3 pad, then 1/1 unit spacer, then finally the CR 306 pad site. When mapping this out a perfect placed test grid…although some not completed as of this time.

I guess they might have a lot of info to make future drilling decisions. I have not heard them mention drilling the Cr230 for quite a few months now…so not sure if they will do anything above Blackshear, except maybe to the west. Although Parr’s Nat Gas for December increased from November about 30% coming in over 2 million cuft/day.

It’s all about the geology and of course the economics of the sites, but I think they had the right idea to do the 1 well “hold” the unit…this way they can wait until whenever, if ever they drill on that unit again…but you can’t really spend 10 million on a well and then only get 100 boepd as a 30 day IP….never gonna make money on that one…or future wells in that unit…

That ‘s what happened to the Finn units south of shiner, that ended up putting them in as a “shut-in”, and to date have not done anything with them as far as I can tell a little over a year later.

Hoping only the best for all mineral owners in our neck of the woods !! We shall see what happens next..

Frac pond is full.

New equipment rolled in this afternoon.

Monster and Reimers sure blowing a lot of gas in the air not sure what that means. Talked with a guy I met doing the pipe line at my place by the pecan pad to day he told me he heard EOG plans 32 wells this year that’s through the GRAPEVINE

Can confirm that construction on the new pad for the Kainer B Unit has not started. The center of this picture is where the permit shows tophole location Top of the photo shows the old well location - don’t remember which unit that was.

Is that, 32 wells in Lavaca County?!

I wouldn’t think so didn’t really care.

Where is this? What pad site?

I don’t think I mentioned this before but EOG drained the reservoir that Redhawk had off of CR 240 during the last 3-4 weeks and moved the water into the Gas Production reservoir. The pipes for this went from CR 240 from the 82 acre site towards the southwest, crossing FM 957 close to CR 237, then it turned south just east of the Rawlins/Bruhn pad…then continued to the new reservoir.

Redhawk bought this property about 1 year ago for about 1.1 million. It had 3 large ponds on it already, but they made the reservoir in the NE corner of the property draining the 3 ponds into it as well as a new well they dug to help fill it. the reservoir was used for Parr, Monster and Reimers.

Have not heard anything “officially” if they will be putting this property up for sale soon…just rumors…personally, I don’t think they would this soon…

About the pipeline person with the 32 wells EOG is suppose to do..

this was the original plan…8 pad sites, each pad site serviced 4 units each with 1 well on it to hold the leases/land.

this could be a map others have seen in a “grid style”…Washington Irving had mentioned he saw that when he did his lease.

However, this plan did not work out as planned due to some lease issues and site owner issues…so to date we have 5 pad sites, and 14 wells drilled. So more pads will have to be made….which was the plan to do in 2027, when all were held by production.

Fun fact —Blackshear originally was to be east of FM 957, across the street from where it is now. Even the 8ft flag was there in the ground…but issues arose, and the pad site moved….they had the horizontal go to the east and then turn to the west to do the configuration they had planned before submitting the permit. This well was suppose to begin before Francis in Sept/Oct 2024…but again these issues caused it to be delayed until after Francis.

Yep that was me with the map. It was overlaid with a grid of contiguous rectangles showing their units.

You’d think that they could just sort their data by ‘best leases’ and then ‘best geology’ and then drill a vertical test well or two in some of the locations where those two sorts intersect.

I’ve been shuttin’ up lately because I’ve got nothing, BUT someone close to me has one of the earliest Acaval leases that expires on 7/17 of this year and I’ll be bothering him for updates as to whether it’s being renewed or not. If nothing else happens between now and then that’ll be the canary in the coal mine IMO.

I’ve been hearing that there’s plenty of big money out there wanting to invest like Baytex/Flywheel et al so we’ll see how it goes.

Minor correction as to the priorities - geology / subsurface will ALWAYS trump leases in any prioritization for drilling.

Number are in…..this is oil only….for January 2026:

Reimers 126 bopd first full month

Monster 55 bopd first full month

Parr 217 bopd 4th month

Blackshear 333 bopd 8th month

Francis 300-500 bopd partial month was shutdown for 2 months so this is 8 months

Looking at both Francis and Blackshear they are trending along the standard EF decline curve so far…actually a little better than average. Standard curve for a well at 1000 bopd 30 day ip will be around 150 bopd at end of 12th month based on recent EF curves published–current.

I actually heard reimers at 100 bopd and Monster at 25 bopd so these numbers are better than I expected, but as far as what this means to surrounding areas…you have to come up with your own conclusion….

Sounds like Monster might have enough oil to service a sewing machine. I’ll have to look back at my comments about Monster saying a dry hole.

What were the gas production numbers?

January’s Nat Gas numbers will not be in for a couple of weeks. I already reported that in December Reimers and Monster came in with around $2,000 each for the month, but it was only a partial month, so we have to wait until January’s numbers come out to get an idea on the rate of production for these two units.

I usually report the gas rates based on million cubic feet per day, but with only $2,000 worth of production you really could not factor it, so again we should have numbers in about two weeks.

EOG Drilling Plan:

Delaware Basin (Permian) 2024 2025 2026

Wells 385 375 300

Rigs/Frac crews 16/4 16/4 13/4

Eagleford

Wells 160 120 115

Rigs/Frac Crew 6/2 4/1 4/1

Dorado

Wells 21 25 40

Rigs/Frac Crew 1/- 1/- 2/1

Good news we are NOT losing a rig in the EF and they are only planning a 5 well reduction compared with 2025. Permian drilling being reduced, and Dorado increased for reasons I previously mentioned.

Pecan pad looks shut down again, only two water trucks since midnight. Yesterday an oil truck came and went in 15 minutes with no load. Today that big skid and box fan that went to the pumping pad is being replaced with a smaller unit and some rusty stuff that goes with it. Mobil Crane is here with six service trucks; should be back up soon.

My count for the last three weeks of January is 14 loads of oil.

February count so far is 26 loads of oil, of course foggy mornings some could have slipped by. It’s looking better.

The 4 well pad should be fracked soon as the pipeline to the gas plant is nearing completion. Water lines are being laid out. CMS (Chalk Mountain Services) signs are up as they will bring the proppant to the site.

The pipeline to the Bruhn Rawlings has started as well.

Does anyone know where Nabors Rig 1209 went? Thanks.

Charlotte for a 4 well pad. Then will head back to this area.
