Anyone know recent production numbers in some of the newer wells in Lavaca County and where to find without having to pay a subscription to a site? The RR site is difficult and unreliable it seems.
EOG identified a āfaultā running across the proposed Alfaro/Kenobi units. They are however suppose to drill these 2 out once the 4well Maddox+3 wells are fracked.
So it looks like Rawlins/Bruhn will not be fracked until after Alfaro/Kenobi are drilled.
So when rig 1209 is done with the wells in Atascosa county it will either go to CR306 site or back to finish the other 2.
Have they started the pad on cr 306?
The āfaultā is not a minor issue - depending on its displacement (i.e. up vs down movement on either side of the fault plane), there is a significant impact on keeping any lateral in the ideal target zone. Plus any fault needs to be avoided during frac operations (since faults will tend to capture the frac job and not impact the targeted reservoir).
Several hundred feet of lateral could be negatively impacted by avoiding and adjusting to the fault area. And the more lateral length not fracād due to this issue, the less the production and EUR for any one lateral.
In the Eagle Ford trend (e.g. Gonzales /Karnes Co) years ago, EOG purposely avoided drilling any laterals across a fault zone.
I was told by a rig worker that the wells going southeast were in a ā down dipā.
Said it was causing issues
In this area, laterals heading SE will have to drill deeper as they go to stay in the same target zone. This is due to structural change from lateral heel to lateral toe.
It is the opposite for wells drilled to the NW.
Staying āin zoneā in target interval is the #1 challenge and objective of any lateral. And sometimes it if very difficult to steer the drilling bit to stay in zone (using downhole MWD information).
Getting āout of zoneā and out of target interval is always a negative as to how a lateral will produce in the long run.
Also was told the temps were getting hotter and the batteries die and the directional bit quits at around 340 F.
I know the drill stem was rented and had a coating to keep it cooler.
Thanks for your expertise!
As of yesterday at about 5:30 April crude oil futures had taken an 11% jump up to $72.65.
Yes, they started the entrance/pad to EOG on CR 306 about 10 days ago or so. You will not be able to see anything but the entrance when you are on Cr306ā¦it is a ways back there. It does look like this pad is a little more west than the others when you line it up, but not by much. also not sure if they will be going directly into the Copano pipeline which is really close or if they are going to pipe this to the Gas Production unitā¦have not been told yet.
Not so good news from the pecan pad. Monster is going to get a working over I think. 2 large frack tanks 2 small frack tanks pipe racks rework rig small tree and a bunch of junk. My guess the oil pipes on Monster need a cleaning even though they have acid tanks by each well head.
EOG is putting in pipeline from the CR 306 pad and it looks like it will run along CR 312 north and connect to production plantā¦although the Copano pipeline is right there. Looks like EOG will be putting in another pad just west of the Francis/Friends padā¦not sure how many units on that oneā¦.but it will be in circled by CR357,359,370.
My mistakeā¦..I meant west of Francis and Harwi units.
I saw signs up that they are hydro testing from the Francis pad back to the pad near the gas plant.
Looks like lots of activity at the new gas plant trying to get online.
Also boring under FM 340 is in progress.
Where exactly will the gas go from the plant they are building?
Processed gas will go to the major transmission line in the area of the plant - may be the same company that will be operating the plant.
Scoping out Tx RRC site for gas lines in this area may answer that question.
NGL yields from this gas could be significant.
Eog connected to the Copano gas line right behind the Francis pad. It looks like they are running pipelines from all the pads to the new production plantā¦and then there is another pipe going from the production plant back toward the Francis pad where they connect to the Copano line. I guess that line will be able to handle all the gas ??? You can see this on the RRC site when you select pipelines on the left dropdown box. You donāt see the newer lines just the Francis pad going into the Copano line.
FYIāthey had (originally planned) the Maddox+3 pad pipeline also running to a different connection to the Copano line..a little east of CR 183/Fm 340..it was marked/staked for the pipeline running east down Cr 183, until they closed on the production plant property then the stakes were pulled upā¦.
I saw the only line from Francis to the Maddox was a green steel line for oil I assume. They have poly pipe from Maddox to the gas plant along with what it looks like to steel lines for oil. Poly lines are being run from the Rawlings as well as a smaller oil pipeline to the plant boring under FM 240.
