Apropos of nothing, but this thread is solid gold. It’s like going back to 1980s oilfield scout days.
Polite applause.
Others know more, but I’m pretty sure that the RRC considers flowlines surface equipment (even though there are grey areas). Surface operations are usually covered in your Mineral Lease.
I would agree, but with mineral owners separate from surface owners, compensation gets sticky unless it is separated.
Is rig 1209 still leaving ? Saw them load up more pipes today on rig. Also Blackshear/Parr flare is huge !! The flame has quite a bit of blue in it….hope pipeline is ok…
Sunday 2 people working on Gas plant, today looks like a regular crew….no rush…
Have not heard any official word on anything…quite eerie…even the “rumors” have stalled….Could be because EOG is reporting 4th quarter and full year 2025 results in several days…so hush ???
Can’t wait to see the official 2026 CAPEX plan by territory….this will be very telling…
A couple of notes
Blue flare color = high Btu gas. A very good thing as to NGL’s and price upgrades.
EOG won’t be talking about this play / trend area publically until it is much more proven / vetted. So 4th Q financial timing has zero impact on what is happening here.
Analysts may ask about this area during Q&A, but EOG will not give any hard answers aside from “still evaluating”
You also won’t be seeing any public info on EOG planned CAPEX for this specific area. At most, one will see total CAPEX for Tx Gulf Coast / NE Texas vs Permian Basin vs other mega play areas.
All this info will be held very confidential but the EOG management team.
Rig #1209 probably getting close to TD in the lateral. Spud on Feb 1st,
I wonder if the pipe you saw on rig (in the derrick?) was 5.5” casing that was to run to TD in the lateral?
Or just drill pipe that had been tripped out of the hole before being laid down @ TD?
Is there any info on Tidal’s Kainer B project near Flatonia?
No rig yet. Need eyes on the ground to address location work / status.
Three laterals permitted to be only 330’ apart - thinking some sort of wine rack approach to Landing Zones / target intervals
The EOG 2024 annual report indicated by area ie…permian, utica, eagleford, the total dollars for Capex and the total rig count and frack crew count. So we are under Eagleford obviously, and it should show 2026 numbers compared with 2025…apparently Dorado with 1 rig for 2025 should increase and rig count being deducted from other areas. As well with the Encino purchase last summer, they came with their own rigs, but the Capex dollars for 2026 has already been announced to be about the same as 2025, so someone is loosing money big time.
Also, yes we will probably not be spoken about in this portion of the Eagleford…look at the quarterly reports so far for 2025, we are not mentioned, and do not appear on any Eagleford maps…I am assuming this will happen again….
Being a “proposed” pad site surface owner It’s been a roller-coaster of a ride..but in the last 10-14 days things have really changed. My lawyers have felt this as well speaking with EOG, not just landmen, about concerns….and now almost getting a brush off. It does not feel right.
Now this is just a joke—but would not be surprised if StoneRidge Energy operating as Fly Wheel Energy buys this portion of EOG/Redhawk Lavaca county leases/units etc…in a month or 2….just a joke….but they have billions to spend..and just bought Baytex…..be a nice bolt-on…just saying….
Anyone know where Nabors rig 1205 is located ?? EOG just permitted 7 new wells in Gonzales county. 1205 was around there, so wondering if this is where 1209 is going ? This would be a couple of months work at least…
fwiw, Enverus says Nabors 1205 is in Gonzales drilling on Roosevelt unit. Enverus ain’t always right.
ENVERUS probably correct here - well spud on Feb 2nd.
7-8 permitted laterals on Roosevelt pad - may be planning to drill multiple wells here
Lot of action on the gas plant today. Staging water lines to frac the previous pad. Also poly pipe is in and they are now dropping the steel pipe to be welded.
Drove around the rig 1209 site midday today and it looks like they are pulling pipe, possibly on the last trip, as they are breaking it down to 1pc sections and lowering it to the ground where it looks like it’s being forklifted on to haul trucks/trailers. There was a 2nd forklift loading up the pallettized drill mudd/materials on to flatbeds as well. I would expect they will be vacating this pad site within the next few days. They may still have casing work to do but not sure how long that would or will take. Kinda disappointing to see they have backed away on the other two units (southeast ones). I’m sure there were a lot of hopeful land owners but if the geology isn’t appealing for them that’s how the game goes, I guess.
They will be running casing tonight or tomorrow on 1209. Then rig down and move. Then back when eog has a new pad ready.
Looking at the map the highlighted wells are eog and the well at Breslau.
The petrovybe has well is in line as well.
I heard from an EOG the they will log these then start to fill in the grid for the next 2 years.
Where is that rig located? I have interest in parr1h. Just curious as to how far away that is from the parr pad.
Off of LCR 194/195, about 1/2 mile due south of St. Anthony’s Catholic cemetery. Parr unit is north of Breslau about 1-1.5miles, off of 1st LCR (don’t know the #) to left, if your heading north on FM957
I found out that the truck drivers were calling that water monster but water had been coming out Reimer and Monster. Not so much no water trucks for 2 days and no oil trucks as for now. Two small pumps came by yesterday must of had a malfunction.
Nat Gas for December hit yesterday and Reimers and Monster each had about $2,000 in sales for the month. December was a partial month, plus some issues, so we have to wait to see January’s numbers.
