Cana Woodford Shale (AKA Anadarko Woodford) - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

What County Sylvester?

Ron: Sorry. Section 28 Township 8N Range 6W.

Amen on having fun, one thing about it there is plenty of good OLD WISDOM on this forum!!!

Sylvester I could find nothing on 28-8N-6W.

Sylvester, you are in good company! But we’re having fun, aren’t we?

Geez, old age and senile dementia:

Grady County, Section 28, 8N 6W.

What’s up with people on this list, i.e. Matt Whitaker, who say they are interested in buying your mineral rights, ask for the legal description of your rights, then never call you back???

Sorry Sylvester, nothing going right now. Dry gas is up to $3.47 per mcf right now, so that could change anytime! Dry gas must be $3.50 per mcf to inspire drilling.

Vickie, I am wondering the same thing.

Please let me know if you have any suggested additions to my list of online resources for mineral owners.

The “2011 Drilling Highlights” from the Oklahoma Geological Society is an interesting read, with lots of Woodford information: http://www.ogs.ou.edu/OilGas/pdf/2011DrillingHighlights.pdf

JJ. W., Good info in the OK Geo Soc. article…wow

Need some help. Jackford Land, Inc. for their client Continental has sent an offer. Lease or assign my interest for no cash bonus with a 1/4th royalty, delivering a 75% revenue interest. Is this the best offer? Or the 3/16ths with the bonus? I need help to understand the vocabulary, understand the mineral rights/interest vs oil rights/interest.

Re: Plato 1-16H Section 16-4N-5W Grady County, Oklahoma Sec 16 Township 4 North Range 5 West.

Donna, when did they make this offer? The section was pooled 7/23/12. Your name was listed on the pooling so the leasing should be over.

The well CAMP CREEK 1-29H had a spud date of 8-29-2012.

Gary, I looked for frac job, but could not find it. Do you have the lat and lon?

I found it at lat 35.595 lon 98.166

Google Earth has updated their aerial images in the last few days. So if you would like to see what a location looks like when a well is being fracked you should zoom into Calumet, Oklahoma and then just south of town the road that runs east and west is 122nd Street. From the junction of 122nd and Highway 270 (Calumet Road) go about 4 1/2 miles west and on the north side is a location with two frack jobs going on. Pretty impressive.

It started 8-29-12. It will be a year plus before you get a check.
