Brazos County TX Oil & Gas Permits

Post, discuss and share information related to Brazos County Oil & Gas permits in the replies below.

Thank you to Clint Liles for championing the effort to keep us all up to date.

The map Clint posted shows Woodville Rd in the center running between the By-Pass 6 and Texas Ave (US190). I think you are under the word "BRYAN" in the middle of the page. That is Marsh St. The links Clint provided to the Carrabba-Dooley are north of the By-Pass. If I'm wrong, let me know. If right, then there are things going on in the area, but not to you yet. Halcon has 4 permits to your west where 6 and Texas Ave meet. Clint's link to the Dooley is to your north. 7711, which was purchased by Halcon in Dec, has the Frankie J to the north across the By-Pass as well. Things are cooking.

That looks pretty close and I see the survey name there, but the lease we signed was for Halcon, this one shows 7711, does that make a difference? I am so new to any of this. This is actually on the other side of Hwy 6 from where we are located, we are more between hwy 6 and texas ave. near Woodville rd.

Thank you both, it looks like those are all close but of course not us. We only signed our paperwork in September so I don’t think the carabba lease would be is either. But that beings up another question, would it take a year for us to see our little royalties from any activity?

If I have this right (big if-no promises), here is the Austin A-63 survey for Brazos. The shaded circle is the permit for the Croc. Halcon has been issued 3 additional permits for the Austin A-63 in the past couple weeks, Hammerhead, Manta, and Tiger Shark. They are not on the map as yet.

I wish I'd found this group prior to leasing or selling my mineral rights but I was in a bind and needed the money. But I still have a question. A producing well went up right across the road from my property (highway 21 East and 1 small 5 acre tract are between that well and my property) but since I don't live out on my property, I didn't know about the well for some time. I had leased my mineral rights out at the time, I think to Petromax- but never got any dollars from this well. I can't believe I was that close and not signed in the pool I only had 10 acres but still.. Is there any way to find out if I should have been included and any way to do anything about it? The legal property description was , MOSELEY SCOTT, TRACT 5.1 9.472 ACRES, When I leased the minerals to petromax I think it was for a well that was lott-wilson 1h, enervest Operations, LLC RI O OO365982 HR Cartmell lease 026129. But that might have been for the one they are just drilling now, it may have been a different lease because I just signed with petromax in dec 2012. Anyone know how I could find out??Or should I just give it up? I was hoping I legally should have been on it and maybe I have some checks floating around. Please don't tell me the Cartmell well is one of the biggest ones going right now, already mad at myself for selling..

The Lott-Wilson began producing in Jan 2013. If you go to this link:

http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/PDQ/quickLeaseReportBuilderAction.do

Click the radio button for oil lease, enter "26129" in for Lease Number, select "03" from the District Dropdown box, and choose a date range any time in 2012 thru now. This will show you the production for this lease since it started producing. Full disclosure - I'm self taught at all this so there is room for error.

This link is for the permit of the well:

http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/DP/drillDownQueryAction.do?fromPublicQuery=Y&name=LOTT-WILSON&univDocNo=487234959

Scroll to the bottom and there is a link to the Plat TIF. Your name is listed in acreage in unit.

I can't help you any more. I guess it gets down to when you sold the minerals and what that document included. The well produced over 100,000 bbls in 2013. I hope this helps more than it hurts.

Jo Leene,

Also go to the bottom of the drilling permit and click on the P-12 and your name and acreage shows up. Ain't it a shame.......... as the song goes.

Completion report on Lott-Wilson 1H:

Clint Liles

you have been a big help, shows they produced some 87000 bbls thru 6/13 , I sold rights in 7/13 so I'm going to check the wording and such to see if I'm due any money. I've moved several times so maybe they just couldn't track me down....

it does hurt, but I never heard anything on the progress, didn't know it hit oil, I would have just borrowed some against it, but my fault for not doing my homework and research...still hoping I'm owed money for the time period up thru 6/13
