Great to have some info to use. Anyone have any info on how good the wells have been and what type of payment per acre people have been getting. Thanks for all the info, it will be very helpful for my family.
Mr Shaw, we leased our mineral acres in 3-18-13 to Newfield last Summer ( 2015) . The Brown Farm well in section 8 will be important to further development in that area.
Daniel,
What part of Blaine County are your wells in ?
That well on 8-18-13 is the Brown Farm 1H-8. API number is 35-011-23582.
Daniel, is the well you are talking about the Mccrary 16n 12w 31-30 ?
Thanks for the info, Lanny. Please keep us updated if you visit again.
Anyone heard any results or reports on Brown Farm to update the below information?
Mr Shaw, Continental Resources and Newfield have taken leases in both townships the past few months. Kaiser-Francis, Devon and Todco in 17N. Vitruvian II and Echo Energy in 18N. It depends upon which sections.
I plan on going by the Brown Farm well in 8-18-13 tomorrow afternoon, Saturday, 6-11-16. Maybe Iâll have something to report here.
We just turned down 12,000.00 per acre, we already have a producing well and really donât intend on selling. They say the well is a âbarn burnerâ approximately 800 - 1000 bpd. Itâs been flowing for about 60 days and we still havenât received div orders, we have been told I could be up to 6 months. With that kind of $$$ being offered it leads me to believe that they will probably be drilling another well pretty soon. Some places in Blaine county seem to be really âhotâ, I would encourage people not to sell if they didnât need the $$.
Dear Mr Prickett,
Continental Resources has increased density applications pending for 4 additional wells each on 13-16N-11W and on 3-15N-12W. Initially successful wells may not be followed up immediately with more drilling because the operator is proving up a lot of acreage. You are correct that you should expect about six months between first production and the first check. The division order should come first but sometimes you get the check first. It depends upon how screwed up the operators back office operations are at the time.
I went by the Brown Farms well just SW of Canton, Ok today. It is in 8-18-13, the SE corner. There is lots of activity there, 2-3 guys at the entrance chanelling in tankers, frac tanks, Rockwater Energy service trucks and trailers, trucks with burners, looked like a couple of trucks with big plastic fluid jugs, etc. There was also a ultra craneâboomâ near the wellhead too. Newfield is spending some money on the completion anyway.
Lanny, I think the companies have a good idea of what they have before fracking. Thatâs the reason they move in the oil and water tanks early. At least that is what I think as observing wells around the county.
Sounds like their fracking that Brown well. Always a lot of trucks and activity when fracking. They may be there a couple of weeks.

I think you are right Paul, and it must have had a fair amount of production before the fracing. There are lots of generators and light trailers and on and on. Previously they had set 4 tall tanks and 2 heater treaters a few weeks ago.
Thank you Mr Weeks for the info., I guess time will tell.

Looks as if its offline for the last 5 - 6 days.
Updating??
Thanks

Dear Mr. Edsall, the operator will usually have a mud log to use to pick completion points. After drilling the hole, geologist usually analyze the mud log and look for the best places to complete the well. The completion equipment requirements are generally known before the well is drilled but not the exact details. The operators do have an idea what rocks they will find but that does not preclude the occasional dud.
