Attorney Assistance

Continuing the discussion from Offers to buy:

New to the site. I have only 3.3 acres but the offer is to buy for $12,000. I have been unable to find an attorney but would desperately like to speak with some one if anyone has a suggestion. Only one offer but staying in contact with me.

It’s probably worth that or more per acre!

Two questions, and both will affect the price, what is the survey (Abstract) and is the property leased or unleased? Bonus question, is the mineral interest burdened by any NPRI’s?

Clint

Abstract is 202 and property is unleased. The offer was to buy

Before you sell, you should consider soliciting other offers to ensure you’re receiving a fair price. The first offer you received, especially if it is unsolicited, is rarely the best offer.

Hi Cindy, Any Texas oil and gas attorney may help you as they do not need to be in the county you have minerals in. Look at the menu at the top of this site and choose one from the Directories/mineral services. I personally use Eric Camp of Ft Worth. I have also used Wade Caldwell out of San Antonio. Hope this helps and btw, if your offer came in the mail it is “LOW” MK

Before you sell, know that you have a rig onsite and drilling about two miles to the east and another permit about two miles to the west.
