We have 522 acres for lease near the town of Slocum.
Tom just leased 200 ac north of Slocum due East of Palestine. I think things are heating up in Anderson County.
Hey, thanks for letting me know that, John! Would you know anyone up there I could contact, to see if someone might be interested in leasing?

Hi, John
Would you mind sharing general terms? We are working with a company in the $150-$200 range. Specifics are not important to me, just a range.

I own mineral rights on approximately 165 acres in A-232 (Samuel Davis), which is east of Palestine. Let me know if you are leasing, or have a contact for a company leasing this area.
Thanks
I sure will! Thanks for jumpin’ in. If anyone has any info for Anderson County, Texas please help by participating.
Graem Resources have been leasing in the Neches area and NW toward Todd City since last Nov. We got a lease 3 miles west of Neches ($150 an acre) and a neighbor told me they were putting together a 20,000 acre block but they won’t tell who they are leasing for.

Mr. Cotten,
Sorry for the delay. Due to not removing the gag clause in the lease, let’s just say I will not be retiring soon.

C. Patrick,
I am led to believe that the landmen will be calling soon. I think this play will cover a lot of abstracts.

To All:
For those who have signed leases, does anyone know what royalty percentages are being attained from the lessees?
Thanks,
Last one for one of my clients was 1/5th and they would not budge.
Hey thanks, Buddy. I appreciate it.
We got 3/16ths on our 640 acres 3 miles west of Neches about 6 months ago. Gossip has it that they are putting together a 20,000 acre block and one neighbor’s landman told him they will have a rig running by summer. But no one knows who, “they” are.
Hey, thanks John. Looks like you’re roughly 18 miles NNE of us. Send 'em our way!
I have a good friend (30 plus years) who owns land just NE of Palestine and we have had our own little forum all this time and last week we were looking at a big Anderson County survey map and discussing some drilling permits near to him. He runs a machine and welding shop and has contact with a lot of people in the drilling business and he indicated an area south of him which would be SE of Palestine that has some activity so good luck.
A geologist from Tyler who I have known for about 10 years recently told me that he heard Devon and EOG were leasing big blocks in Anderson County.

I’m actually considering selling about 250 acres of mineral rights in Anderson County.
(Please don’t flame me… I know most of you will yell at me and say “never sell!” and I understand why people say that. But I’ve put a lot of time and thought into my decision and am very comfortable with it. If it sells at what I want, it sells; if not, then I hold onto it—I’m good either way. Plus, I have a lot more besides these tracts, so I have plenty of other opportunities in Anderson to lease.)
Anyway, if you know of anyone who would be interested in buying them, let me know. There are 5 tracts and I want to sell them as a group, and yes, I do have a price in mind that I will discuss privately with someone who is serious. Since there appears to be increased interest in the area, now might be a good time to buy them as an investment if someone was so inclined.
I will keep my ears open. Good luck.
