After signing

Once signed with the comany...do they drop you pretty fast?

I had good rapport before i signed, now 3 calls and messages left i dont hear from the land (wo)man...

buyers remorse?

Once you sign, the landman's job is over. Communication from now on would need to be with, and from, the company you signed up with.

Ancil, don't be discouraged, now it's time to build a rapport with the Oil Co. itself. I don't know who you signed with but I know the people at Antero always have time (or make time) to answers my calls.

I agree with Anna- if Antero, the division order folks in Denver have been more than helpful to me. Are they fast? No way. But they will contact you.

I have called Lauren at Antero 5xs in the last two weeks without any returned calls.

Stephanie- Lauren has been out for 2 weeks. I contacted her 2 weeks ago, and she told me that she would be out. I would expect her to return your call next week for sure.

Hi…thanks for your input…“once youve signed, they are done with you.” is my interpretation. Fair enough…I understand that…“6 months - 2 years till things happen” & “things pick up w/permitting, construction, following the State O&G site”…until then, I doubt I’ll hear from Ant. unless they want something…and i’ll not bother them. :’-(

Ancel, yes I agree, I don't like to call and pester them either, but when they give me a time frame to call back, I do. It is very hard to wait patiently (for me anyway) to get news about progress. I think the people at Antero understand that, I know when I call at least they 'let on' like they do..LOL

It's too late for you to do anything about it, but maybe someone who's in the process of negotiating a lease will see this. I suggest you try to get something in the lease that says they have to notify you when certain milestones are reached. For example, when they apply for a permit, when the permit is approved, when the well is spudded, when fracking is completed, and/or when the well comes online. Companies are not set up to provide this information to their lessors, but they should be. It's the age of automatic information, and it shouldn't be too hard for them to set up a system to do this kind of thing. It won't happen unless enough lessors ask for it, though. Maybe if enough lessors keep bugging Lauren out in Denver, Antero will see the light.
