Citizens Shale Advisors represents landowners only.

This company originally was focused on Texas, but they have signed over 16,000 acres in the Niobrara Shale in Nebraska this year.

Their website answers many questions.

I would never advise a person to hire a firm such as Citizen Shale Advisors to represent mineral holdings whereas the cost of such services would include a percentage of the bonus and royalty amounts. I am referring to the FAQ section (Question 1). I would advise that an individual educate him or her self via such tools as this forum and if questions arise regarding lease negotiations, consult an oil and gas attorney or lease consultant who would charge a one time fee for their services.

Or talk with experienced super landman Buddy Cotten, a member of this forum. See his own site--google his name. His fees are reasonable. and he doesn't take a percentage.

If you have someone who deals for you for a piece of your minerla rights, it means your grandchildren get to pay their grandchildren for an action that took place decades before, it may be worth it if you would otherwise just sign any lease put in front of you, or it may not. Fee for service, paid up front, is the way to go in my opinion if you actually have something of value to produce.
