My family has had a lease with them. After my mother’s passing I have mineral rights to a little less than an acre. I need to sign a new lease. They offer $100 (as bonus) said it was incentive to sign. 5-year lease. I know split 5 ways I received 2500 a couple years ago so that was 12,500 total that my family owns. Is $100 too small I wonder?
You would get more accurate help if you put what state and county and a legal description. The amount of a lease bonus is totally dependent upon the geology and perceived value of the potential reservoir. Personally, I never sign a lease for more than three years. Always ask what they are offering for 3/16ths 1/5, and 1/4th.
