Can you still work for an oil company that you signed a lease with for your land? Does anyone lease land to oil companies in return for a job?
This could be considered a conflict of interest which is against most oil company policies

In my experience, you show the conflict and it will be resolved. Companies like Shell have many employees that have lease with them.
Conflicts are only a problem if you do not disclose them.
