Woodford Shale Production

I have mineral rights in coal county oklhoma, royalty check seems to be pretty slim for having 9 gas wells on property. Anyone have any idea on the production coming from there?

Have you checked OCC Records?

Yes i have and it shows all well there are active and producing. I have a feeling that I need an attorney.

Probably the operator has shut in the wells or slowed down production due to the price . I am assuming this is a dry gas area and most of the operators are leaving that area and concentrating on liguid plays. I think you can cll the operator of the well and find out if they have shut thenm in or just choked back production

Were the volumes posted on OCC so you could compare them to your ck stubs?

You are probably right. I had heard they were also getting wet gas there and also oil. Just an article I had came across online.

What is the legal description Section-Township-Range? Most of the articles I have seen were talking about the Anadarko Woodford which is not in Coal County. The Arkoma Woodford is in Coal Co. The few maps I have seen show oil in the middle third (west to east) and dry gas in the east third of the county.

Legal description is 07/003n/011e. Your right, I seen the same articles, but, I know they keep putting more wells in. So, I'm just curious as to why if they have slowed down.

Devon drilled 5 wells on the south edge of section 7. Completion was a bit over a year ago. None of these are feeding from section 7. The bottom holes are sections 18 and 19. I don't see any current production records, but the production was gas only.

There are 5 wells on the north side of the section that were drilled in the 2008. At a glance only 2 show to be producing from section 7. The other 3 are producing from section 6.

There are about 6 wells in section 6 that produce from section 7.

The Tax commision is not reporting any gas production since 2011 on any of these.

I don't see any oil from those sections since the late 70's.

It would not surprise me to see production cut because of the low prices of gas.
