Williams County, ND Activity

I have been receiving royalty payments for over a year now from the stromme family trust well that runs under the land in my family trust which is located at: Township 157 North - Range 101 West. Section 2: lots 3,4, S1/2NW1/4, SE1/4.

I don't remember how to look up the map that could show if there are more wells nearby, etc. or maybe even a new well being drilled on our acreage.

The stromme well that I get paid on has been a poor well since day one. Wonder if a new well will ever be drilled on our acreage.

Can anyone fill me in on the latest news and activity in that area.

Fairly active area for production and HRC Operating is currently drilling one and completing another under confidential status.

Bakken Pool with decent IP rates but holding steady

What else specifically are you looking for?

I don't think you will see much infill in this township but i know some Bakken operators are downsizing the well spacing and drilling a shorter hole with better frack jobs that are doubling IP, this area is on a 3 year payback and 250K EUR per well.

Hope this Helps.

Thanks for your reply. In regard to a low producing well, Do they ever re-frack an existing well using more up to date technology?

Are the two HRC wells on the confidential list close to my acreage?

Gene, refracks on Bakken oil wells are about as rare as hens teeth most of them ocurring on early wells that may have only had between 1 and 6 frack stages. Your well was a 27 stage frack. Besides the low production of oil, the ratio of water to oil is not what I would call good.

In my opinion after looking at the surrounding wells, on your well they just missed the optimum profile and more fracking into a somewhat depleted area would not be cost effective.

I believe there will be infil drilling but I doubt it will be in less than ten years. The operator need not hurry, that well could hold the spacing by production for 20 years or more, even if the operator only ran the pump 1 day a month to pump out whatever oil had migrated into the wellbore in a months time. Wish I had something better to say.

Gene, there are two well in DRL status drilled from the pad in 157-101-12 just southeast of you so they are within 2 miles or less however you look at it.
