Having not come to any kind of lease agreement we are prepared to be pooled in our section in Beckham County. However, I have heard/read conflicting information. Will the Oklahoma Corporation Commission pool 240 one-owner acres? We own everything. Minerals and land. Beckham County Township 10 North Range 21 West.
The Oil Co. can bring you in under the pooling. Then you will have to choose to participate and take a working interest in the well and pay your share of drilling cost and get your 8/8th of that interest. You can do that with some or all of your interest, or take one or more of the options offered in the pooling if they offer more than one. I am sending a copy of a pooling. This is about as close as I could find to you.

I hear there is force pooling rumors for Section 1, Township 10N Range 25W… can anyone provide any more details… should we accept the lease or wait to see if they really do force pool?
Newfield filed for a pooling in Section 1 but it was dismissed in September 2012. They dismissed others in sections around 1 and let one expire. Now other companies are pooling those other sections, but not 1 yet that I could find. If you are not leased they should have sent you notice of that Newfield pooling in 2012.
Hi Ron. Just thought I would update you. The pooling is tomorrow. I will “attend” by phone. I am told whether I attend or not or attend by phone will not likely affect the outcome of the hearing, but I wanted to listen in. We haven’t been pooled before and I need to learn how all of this works.
I believe I will be asked if I have questions – I already make it clear I do not plan to “protest.” The biggest question I have is about the AFE - specifically the line that says “surface damages AND WATER.” I do not want them using any water they may happen to find. There is no water here in SW OK. We are in a 3-year drought.
Do you have suggestions as to what I might ask during the pooling? Or is it true - the landowner’s input doesn’t make a difference?
Thanks!
Jill
