Thanks for sharing! I was also talking to a petroleum engineer friend of mine and he said that when some of these shale wells are shut in, they never come back on-line with the same rate of production. Something about the pressure they need to produce oil dropping during the time they are shut in.

Thanks for this article that helped me understand the process of “Shutting In.” Just wondering if a well can be slowed in pumping without actually shutting in or shutting completely down?
