This is a more generalized question similar to one I posted in the Bryan County OK forum.
We have some mineral rights in Bryan County OK, Sec 5 TW 7S RG 8E. We inherited them from my Grandfather. As far as I can determine, there has NEVER been a well drilled in this Sec/Tw/Rg of any kind. Summit Land Company leased from us back in 2024. Alliance Oil and Gas is now offering to buy it from us. There must be some rhyme or reason for them to do this, but it is not clear to me what that might be.
- Why would someone be interested in leasing or buying in this area?
- Why would my Grandfather buy the rights in the first place if nothing had ever happened there?
- What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
