Hi, I’m new to this forum and hope I’m posting this in the right place. I recently inherited partial ownership of mineral rights in two different places in Bryan county, OK. I’m wondering if somehow companies tried to pay my grandparents for a lease or royalties and couldn’t find them so the money goes into some sort of a big “pool” of money that’s unclaimed. Can somebody tell me where to look, hopefully online to see if there are funds waiting to be claimed. Thanks in advance for the help and thanks for this forum, I’m sure it will be a valuable tool for me as a new owner of these mineral rights.
The Oklahoma State Treasurer would be one place to look.
Thanks Don,
I looked and there’s nothing listed for my family. Thanks for the help

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission has several databases. Do you know if there is a well in the section(s) you are getting? If you know the Section, Township and Range, or the well name you can try here:
If there is a well and a company operating the well, they may have the funds in a trust waiting to be claimed. A long shot for sure.
I’m going to drive there tomorrow and will be going to the property to visually check on it. It would be great if I find wells everywhere but I probably have as good a chance at winning the lottery. Thanks for the website though, I’m going to check it out.
Again, thanks for your time and help
