When should I be worried? — spud date to division order

Hey all. Just curious when I should start to get worried…? We have about three wells on our acreage that all have been spudded since mid March I believe. When should I expect a division order? My landman originally made it seem like it would be within a month or two along with tax paperwork and then when I followed up around then he said it sometimes takes longer but to still not worry yet. Now it feels like it’s been another two months since then and still nothing. He also said that it will go quiet around this time so he also hasn’t given much of an update other than it had been spudded in March.

Do I need to be worried at all? The area is in Roosevelt County, Montana Township 28N Range 57E area Section 23 and 26. Any help is appreciated.

Not sure how long your wells are-single unit versus multi-unit. Generally takes four-five months to drill and complete multi-unit wells, then another five months for Division Orders. I don’t really start watching horizontals for a DO until a year from spud. Northern states can have delays due to weather, so no need to be concerned for many more months. Vertical wells are shorter time frame.
