Looks like your post was a little off-track, but if you are talking about the operations that Lilis (and their subsidiary Impetro Operating) had in Block C, Section 23 PSL, those wells were acquired and are currently operated by Ameredev Texas who bought everything Lilis had held in the Permian Basin before going into bankruptcy.
There doesn’t appear to be a Section 74 in Block C, so I’m guessing you may have meant Section 24 that joins the west side of 23.
In August 2022, after Ameredev acquired the Lilis holdings, they permitted several new horizontal wells that involved Block C, Sections 23 and 24, but RRC’s records don’t show that any of them have been completed.
If you’ll try posting again and confirm those are the two sections you are inquiring about maybe someone will be able to give you more details on what’s happening there.
And the big thanks for your update on our family’s Winkler County, Texas holdings. You are correct about my original post being “off”—and I’m now guessing way off!!
But I still have my open acreage in Winkler County, as well as in next door neighbor Lea County, New Mexico, and in Andrews County, Texas.
However, I heard nothing from Enverus, or Conoco, or FAE since the Lilis bankruptcy, although I have made multiple inquiries.
Anyhow, Lilis paid top dollar bonus money for their lapsed lease — and the Lea County, New Mexico lease pooling operations cover a total of 19,000 New Mexico acres.
So as a 94-year-old ex roughneck,
there’s a whole lot to be confused about stemming from Lilis bankruptcy and more recent Enverus purchase and/or lack of action.
We have some additional acreage being pooled by FAE directly across the next door neighboring Texas/New Mexico state borders.
Sorry, again,
I’m typing this post on my iPhone, and see lots of typos in my earlier note tonight.
For example, I should NOT have mentioned Enverus in regard to the Lilis bankruptcy. Rather, I should have said Ameredev.
Ameredev has been exceptionally pleasant to deal with, but I remain confused about that whole leasing service in West Texas and New Mexico, as well as all the lawyering that will be involved. And I’m certain that I am not alone.
If possible, please send me your email address and I can send you a copy of a map with info on my Winkler County mineral rights.
I don’t know how to send a copy of the PDF file on the forum. The primary locations are in Blocks C-23 (Sections 10, 11, 12) and B-74 (Sections 4 and maybe Sections 5 and 6) on New Mexico state line.
