Earlier this year, we were contacted by a Landman regarding mineral rights in Monroe County, Alabama (Very small rural area where my mother & sister still live) that we have inherited through my father. We have leased a little over 1800 acres. I have been monitoring Activity Reports via State Board website, currently there are 3 wells in various stages (more to come, is the word). One of those we have rights on, and is in completion stages now. Now it seems that "The Landmen are out" securing more leases and rumors are flying. Other than sit tight and wait, should I be doing anything else at this point? Thanks in advance for any advice and/or direction.
