What happens if a company wants to lease?

After going through North Dakota probate I now own 20% interest in mineral rights in North Dakota. I have filed a statement of claim. I have no contact for the owners of the remaining 80% What happens if a company wants to lease?

As long as your correct contact information is of record in the County Clerk’s office where the minerals are located, company representatives wanting to lease minerals in your section will be in contact with you. Good Luck.

What county? What legal? You may be able to find the info of others. If able, its nice to negotiate as a group. The larger the nma the more attractive it is to lease

Thank you! Do the owners of the 80% have to agree?

No, each of the owners acts independently. If you are new to mineral rights, the Mineral Help tab above will be useful.

if you have questions about a certain section, township and range, post them in the North Dakota Mineral rights area in the proper county.
