What about drainage on a vertical well

I have Maus 23 right above me about 3/4 of a mile in Golden Valley ND, should I be worried about drainage from a vertical well that is about 12,000 feet?

Let me know if you need anymore info.

Thank you in advance for your educated replies.

I think it's possible, especially if you are in an area with greater natural fractures and would both be producing from the same formation. I know experiments have been done in the tight formations by introducing a marker gas to see if two nearby wells were communicating, and it didn't come up in the nearest well, but in one miles farther away. My best asnwer is only maybe, and if there is it may not be a significant amount. I wouldn't run right out and sign a lease that I was not satisfied with, in hopes of getting a well to offset drainage, because you might get a well in the near future, but probably not.
