Well Production Inquiry

I am trying to locate the productions amounts for our well. From I can tell on the RRC website, it looks like it had a small amount of production in June and that’s it. Then again I am not sure I am looking in the right place.

Can anyone confirm? Also, what do you think could be going on with this well to only report production once? Is this just a typical delay in reporting?

Per the RRC website, the well appears to be shut in. I can’t tell if it’s shut in for operational reasons (drilling or completing nearby wells), waiting on a pipeline connection, etc.

This is one of many wells/permits lined up in that part of Leon. It may have been shut in while another well is being fracked nearby. There is another well permitted from that pad going the opposite direction. Time will tell.

I contacted Comstock owner relations on the Williams well and they provided this info on it– First sales for the Williams RM 1H was 06/06/2025. The well flowed for a few days but shut in shortly after first flow due to high H2S. No additional information at this time regarding when this well will be put back in production.

High H2S is no bueno - will be interesting to see how they handle it with whichever pipeline company they transport on. I have to hope that high H2S is not a hallmark of the western haynesville.

Is this a common thing?

Hydrogen Sulfide is common in oil and gas operations, but it is the level of H2S in the production stream that determines whether it is easily treatable and okay to send to the pipeline, or too high and beyond the spec of what the pipeline company will accept. If beyond, it can be expensive to treat for the operator and possibly even make the wells uneconomic.

should the cost of treatment be outside of price paid to holders who have royalty free from costs?

You would have to read your lease that you signed with the oil company, in most cases, you or your attorney or your own Landman would have specifically add language to the effect of treatment costs.

Is this Williams RM in the Milstead Unit?

Yes, sir, I do believe it is.

Hi M_Barnes, would you mind commenting on the topic Change of Status Hutto Tmm, Leon, County. A-64 289-32200 in regards to it being a shut-in well. Chat GPT says it is normal but I wonder? Thanks

Following with great interest!

Turns out that it is an unperfed, ( unperferated ) well. Thanks

Not familiar with that particular well, but it could mean that it has not been completed yet or that it has been completed, but the pipeline has not yet been completed.

a month or two ago there was a large crane on that site and it looked like a rig was back up. It had been taken down back in the summer. Both are gone now. I am waiting for 289-32213 which is on the easternmost rig of that group. I would think they would be trying to get these into production seeing as gas prices are good. There is still a lot of traffic going to that rig that I am on. The water lines have all been taken back up, but tanker trucks are still going there.
