What happened to the production with Kay Lynn well in Hughes County Oklahoma?
After 5 years of absolutely no contact with regards to Kay Lynn 3031-HX Section 30/31-06N-09E a land man contacted a mutual mineral owner. Stating the well is producing and our funds were put in suspension because of unknown whereabouts. Is this common? Don’t recall signing a lease. Then find out there is a class action lawsuit against the foundation for unpaid revenue. Should I be looking for an oil/gas attorney?
Absolutely! You definitely would want to retain an oil and gas attorney
It happens if your name and address are not filed at the county courthouse and they cannot find you to lease or pool. If they cannot find you to lease, then you will be assigned the lowest royalty and highest bonus at the pooling.
Looks like Foundation Energy Management is the current owner. Contact the Division Order department by certified mail return receipt and ask how to get into pay and ask for royalties and interest from date of first sales. Be ready with your deed or probate information, your driver’s license. W-9, etc. You don’t need an attorney at this unless you have probate to untangle. If there is a class action lawsuit, then you will probably not need an attorney unless you want to not be a part of it and go solo (very expensive). Go ahead with your demand letter so that you have a paper trail.
After further investigation, it seems I need an attorney. Any advice. My interests appear to be given away and then returned? Need an attorney
