Weld County,Colorado Oil Drilling

I have mineral rights in 8N-61W.When oil companys are drilling, don't they have to send me some Division Orders? I live in Las Vegas,NV. How would I know if oil companys are drilling? I have read that Weld County is in the sweet spot,is that true?If this is true, why aren't they drilling?

You need to be a little more specific as to your location. Weld County is a huge place and only a small portion of it is being drilled. Even Township 8N-61W is a 36 square mile block of land, and it's not all being drilled, nor is it all likely to be. You really need to specify which Sections your minerals are in. You can check to see if there is any activity in your immediate area at http://cogcc.state.co.us/

If someone wants to drill on your land, they will first lease your minerals. Division Orders come after the well is drilled. Have you been leased? If not, then either:

A) You aren't in an area that looks good

B) They can't find you

You might consider hiring a landman to verify that your ownership is properly recorded in the Weld County courthouse just in case.

Sections in Weld County are: 4 5 7 8 9 17 19 21 30 I do have a Landman and the land is Leased. Also the Ownership is properly recorded in Weld County. The Landman does not give out information.

Assuming all of the Sections you list are in 8N-61W, I find 6 wells that appear to be under your acreage. However, if the Sections are in 8N-62W, there are no wells under your acreage.

Not sure what you mean by "the Landman does not give out information" Are you talking about the Company landman? He doesn't work for you. I suggest you hire someone who does.
