RE: Sec 28, 6N, 4W McClain County I have a current lease in effect originally entered into with Chisholm Oil, LLC. The well is currently in production and I receive royalty checks from Casillas Petroleum Resource Partners LLC. I do not understand the relationship between myself, Chisholm and Casillas. I am the Lessor, Chishom is the Lessee why is Casillas responsible for sending me royalty payments?

I have just received a letter from Wayfinder Resources Operating saying Wayfinder is the successor in leasehold title to Chisholm regarding my existing lease. What does this mean?

You are the lessor. Chisholm was the first lessee. Many companies leased in that section. Chisholm sold their lease to Wayfinder. Casillas is the operator and they are responsible for paying royalties, not the lessee.
