Van Zandt County - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

James David Caldwell and Michael T. Popejoy are both the managing members of Keen Resources. Caldwell is also the CEO of Omni Hotels with Popejoy being on one of their charitable foundations. Both are tied to Tana and other numerous businesses, especially Caldwell. Popejoy is a director of Tana Exploration and is listed as president of TC Oil but is now not in existence according to the SOS office.

If the leases are being taken by Highland and being assigned to Keen there is no reason they cannot pay these leases. Both entities have plenty of money. Caldwell has extensive real estate holdings as does Popejoy. This would explain the Virgin Islands corp to avoid taxes.

Highlands Land Management was formed in 2014 by two companies; Mjolnir Holdings, LLC and CEV Holdings, LLC which are now both defunct according to the SOS office. Those companies are both listed as managing members of the Highlands company. Mjolnir’s managing member is Alexander Sibilisky and Erik K. Martin and CEV’s managing member is Robert D. Costa.
