This asset belongs to my Mother, who lives in an Assisted Living Facility. Before she can qualify for Medicaid, I need to establish a value for this asset. I have contacted two companies that previously made her offers to purchase, but wonder if there is a better way to ascertain it’s value. She has not received any income from it since 2010. From what I understand there isn’t anything going on in that area at the present time. Also wondering if in light of the current environment it wouldn’t be better to pay her the fair market value now, and sell later. Either way I need to get a value established. I’d appreciate any advice from those of you familiar with the area. Thanks in advance Margie
