If an updated title opinion find that your decimal interest was in error, and actually increased by 2.3 times the original amount, Is the operator required to pay you in arrears for the royalties you were underpaid (even if they were mistakenly paid to someone who actually held no interest)?
If the money in question is worth it, I would suggest talking to an O&G Attorney. From what I remember, if you signed a DO on the wrong decimal interest, the operator might be in the clear. However, you might be able to go after the other royalty owner who was overpaid. Good luck
