We purchased a Mineral Deed about 2 years ago on June 15, 2010. We had it recorded in McClain County, Oklahoma with the county clerk. When we got it back it had the county clerk - McClain County Seal on it and a stamp. It has a sticker on it that gives the thirteen-digit reference number, the date, the Book and page numbers, the fee paid and Doc. 0.00 with Lois Hawkins–McClain County Clerk-- State of Oklahoma. In the right-hand corner of the document it said: By DB, Deputy. Return to AACO P.O. Box 1565, Purcell, OK 73080. We did get the original Mineral Deed back and it looked authentic. Now today, September 20, 2012, we received a request for lease but the land company claims they can’t find the recording of the Deed to verify it’s our Deed.
We have tried to go online to find the recording of this record and are unable to locate it. Can you help us and give us advice? Thank you.
