Anadarko and Clayton Williams both have claim to Gold North Unit #4 The property numbers are different: Anadarko has a property # 0040021900001. Clayton Williams just has lease # 31953-001. How do I find out if this is the same well? How and where do I look.
This is just one example, I can't sell any properties until I find out what happened.
I already sold to Clayton Williams, not knowing his ownership of Anadarko and Sheridan.
I don't know if they know they have duplicates. I don't know if the County knows this either.

I was not able to locate any Gold North Unit No 4, only the Gold North Unit No 1H, which is presently operated by Clayton Williams Energy.
Niether Anadarko or Sheridan are listed in the 2011 Mineral Tax Rolls for the No 1H. Neither are you.
You may be confusing paperwork from the different companies. If you would like me to take a look at them, I may be able to help further. Can you scan them in and send them to me?

Hi Charles. I could use any friend I can get since I really don't understand why these ownership issues are so complex. Anadarko Div order says Clayton Williams is the operator of Gold North Units (F4580 TRW1 , W2, W3 W4 W5 W6, AM Cooper Survey. Clayton Williams Div Order says they are paying me for 31950-001/Gold-North #1H 31953-001 Gold North #4 Gold North #3 Gold North #5 and Gold North #2. Several Gold South are listed on Clayton Williams and Anadarko. They wouldn't name different wells the same thing? I don't know if I sold minerals to Clayton Williams not knowing about the Anadarko interest, so they really got a great deal from me for $12,300!
I resent the fact that I, a mere average person can't get access to the details of ownership because it is locked behind price and complexity walls. Land Information should not that difficult to get about your own property. I doubt the state bothers to look into these deals.
I use Dropbox to send large amounts of paperwork over the net to lawyers and potential buyers. I have a real long crazy story about Clayton Williams. But I can also send some to here as soon as I accept as friend. I don't know how that works, but I'll figure it out. -Thanks Suz
