Transfer of ownership (TGNR East Texas LLC)

I am currently attemping to complete a transfer of ownership with TGNR East Texas LLC for owner mineral interest located in Rusk County. It has taken the operator more than a year to finally respond. Back in February, I finally got a response from their royalty ownership division and sent in all required documents. At the end of March, I was told that we would receive a division order my the end of April. Despite phone calls, leaving messages, voicemails, and attempting to reach one of the executives, no one has attempted to call me back and the promise of receiving a new division order was never fulfilled. I would like to know what my action of recourse would be or do I have to go the route of getting an attorney.

In my experience with title transfers and other issue with most oil companies, you need to correspond by email rather than by phone. It lets you provide more detailed information for response, rather than depending on someone trying to decipher a phone message and make written notes. If you are talking with owner relations, they do not know how quickly the recorded deed, W-9 and other documents will be reviewed and processed by the division order analyst and so are making a guess as to timing.

TGNR has been the worst experience in transfers for myself, and that is saying a lot.

I have a transfer open for over a year with them, and they even escheated the funds 6 months in. I’ve almost given up on this one.

There was another one I had with them, that mattered a lot. Their owner relations would always call me back, but it was always the same story, they would escalate the case, but it really meant nothing. I finally found a DO analyst that I could email that was super helpful. TGNR still screwed up this transfer, but luckily I was about to get it fixed.

I’ve had some frustrating experiences with some operators, but nothing like TGNR.

Yes, You are absolutely right. Out of all of the operators I have dealt with in the past, this is the worst. It is truly a travesty to have any ownership dealings with this operator.

I have definitely tried via email and have mainly corresponded that route. Ultimately a frustrating experience for sure.

This is unfortunate. I have had a bad experience with several operators. You might try sending a certified letter, noting that you are copying your attorney. Then the attorney can contact TGNR and might get a response.

I will definitely go that route. Thank you
