It's two years later for us (my sister and I). As Dad's executor of his trust and will I have made headway with the big company's (e.g. Sunoco and Marathon) and we are receiving small checks every several months. Each of about 15 company's accepted Dad's trust and will after probate, and split his shares in oil, gas, and minerals primarily in the mid to East Texas areas and county's. Our checks have come sporadically in the last six years.
HOWEVER, we are still 'arguing' with a Houston Company who refuses to split money owed to us on the grounds that Dad did not specify by name the multiple leases. Rather his attorney chose to use the 'any, else,
other" property, leases, etc. in his name is to also be split between his daughters. I m deof aling long distance with a company which now appears not to be a management company holding the lease, but rather a drilling
company. This we see in issues this company has had with complaints and/or shutdowns and fines for leakages, overflows, etc in well- Texas!!!!! And, of course no royalty to us on the existing wells of which Dad had a part. If anyone has any information on TPIC - Texas Petroleum Investment Corporation I would be pleased to know and follow up. Five years ago when we started this, they seemed to be a management of leases company. Now, with fines and issues in several areas, and absolutely no help from them with regard to
royalties, we think the business may not be totally as it appeared. As I indicated we do receive small checks
from multiple other, mainly oil drilling company's, but nothing from them...which had prior to Dad's passing were arriving to him quite regularly. Can anyone shed some light on this situation? I was here several years ago with a similar complaint; TPIC was not interested in resolution of the situation at that time. They have
ALL of the paperwork from the Trust and Will. And, as I said, it was honored by all the 'big guys" like Oxy and
Sunoco, Marathon. We just don't get it and feel like we are in the middle of a murder mystery!! I'm sorry Mrs. Thomas' wife, but praying, in our case hasn't worked a twat.
