I think it would be fun to be a landman person. What are the schooling requirements to become one or the person going to the courthouse to look up records for future leases? How does one go about becoming one?

There are various schools across the country that offer landman training programs and there is one (possibly more) that offer an online extensive course. The company is called Landman Academy Online (http://www.landmanacademy.com/). The only other way would be to locate a lease brokerage firm that is in need of help and willing to do on the job training. I would think that you must live or be willing to travel to the “hot” areas where this type of work is in demand.
