When the operator has an unknown address for the owner, the royalties are normally escheated to the State where the operator is incorporated. Many operators (including XTO) are incorporated in Delaware, so the royalties are often escheated to Delaware. Delaware’s Unclaimed Property website is: https://unclaimedproperty.delaware.gov
