"Texas Mineral and Royalty owners. Please read proposed HB 100 and comment. You can find it listed at www.oilandgaslawyerblog.com 1-10-13"
Thanks! Mineral owners should protect themselves against these allocation units when leasing by getting an oil and gas attorney to include the proper language in their leases.
If I read it correctly, this would override what your lease says.
From what i understand... if this passes... is your lease won't mean anything. jhh

Oh, sorry... i also wanted to say... someone in our legislature must be getting some big $$$ to get this approved.... and it just shows how ineffective the Texas RR commission has become... and it just proves lawmakers don't really care about regular royalty owners... we don't mean squat because the bill exempts state owned minerals!!!!!!!!!! THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A WHILE!
Is it only for secondary and tertiary recovery operations, though?
I don't think this applies to a straight vertical or horizontal well. Maybe I'm reading it wrong, though.
