We own minerals in Bent County. They were inherited. Do we pay tax on minerals that are not under lease or producing?
Linda, I am also a non-producing mineral owner in Bent County, CO and yes, I pay taxes on all tracts. You should have received an invoice from the Bent County Treasurer’s office.

We don’t own the surface and we weren’t aware non producing minerals are taxed. We have received nothing from Bent County. Thank you so much for your response.
