Just received a letter from the lawyers that the tax office hired to collect our 2020-21 taxes. They wrote: DISREGARD THE LETTER WE SENT TO YOU FOR DELINQUENT 2020-21 TAXES.
Did any of you get them too?
If this is for Reeves County, then quite a few people received erroneous letters.
Reeves sent a letter many months ago that the 20/21 taxes would not be due until February 2024 because of software billing issues. I was surprised that the law firm would send out collection letters. I did get the retraction letter several days ago. In googling the firm, it appears to me that it is some sort of franchise collection service. They have lawyers in a number of states that are part of the collection law firm.
